The glamour of Hollywood collided with the avant-garde of contemporary art at the 14th annual Art+Film Gala hosted by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Saturday, November 1.
Set beneath the museum’s iconic Urban Light-installation and bathed in the glow of high fashion and creative energy, the evening saw luminaries from film, fashion and visual art alike gathering to celebrate and fundraise.
What Is LACMA?
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (better known as LACMA) is the largest art museum in the western United States, with a collection spanning more than 6,000 years of creativity. Each November, its Art+Film Gala brings together Hollywood’s biggest names and the art world’s brightest minds.
This year’s 14th annual event saw guests gathered to honour two game-changers: painter Mary Corse, whose work plays with light and perception, and filmmaker Ryan Coogler, the visionary behind Black Panther and Creed. Co-chairs Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio returned to host, with Gucci once again leading the fashion charge as presenting sponsor.
On the red carpet, the stars more than delivered. Think: think Demi Moore in sheer florals, Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber twinning in sequins and Troye Sivan giving sleek tailoring a twist.
Beyond the sparkle, the night raised vital funds for LACMA’s mission – supporting exhibitions, film projects, and education programs that keep the dialogue between art and cinema alive.
