Electimuss, the British fragrance house known for bold, indulgent compositions, unveils Astrum Nova, a luminous new chapter in its Lustrous Collection. True to its name, which translates to “new star,” the scent is an exploration of light, nature and the quiet harmony between earth and sky.
Crafted by perfumer David Chieze, Astrum Nova takes its shape around ambertonic, a luminous and powerful molecule. The opening is vibrant, a constellation of citrus where bergamot, lemon and mandarin collide with the lush sweetness of mango and dark berries.
Osmanthus weaves between them, bringing its dual personality, both fruity and faintly animalic, a tether between brightness and depth. The floral powder of orris lends refinement, smoothing transitions as the scent journeys toward its heart. Then comes oud, not in its familiar heavy guise, but in a softer expression, reframed through its hidden fruit-like quality. This oud is polished rather than overpowering, subtle enough to let the surrounding notes shine, yet present enough to ground the composition.
As the perfume deepens, oakmoss, musk, tonka and vanilla join together, wrapping the skin in warmth and lingering elegance.
