As the first Emily Henry book adaptation to hit our screens, anticipation over the release of People We Meet On Vacation is understandably high. Thankfully, the giddying wait is almost over.

The second adult romance (following her stint publishing a number of YA books) in Henry’s resume, the story of Poppy and Alex has become a favourite among the author’s ever-expanding fan base.

Now with the movie’s stunning leads, Emily Bader and Tom Blyth, taking to the red carpet the countdown to the premiere is officially reaching its final hours.

When Does People We Meet On Vacation Movie Come Out?

In Australia, People We Meet On Vacation is expected to drop on Netflix on January 9, 2026.

As with many of Netflix’s series, it’s expected that all episodes will drop at 12 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) which translates to 6pm AEDT in NSW and VIC, 5pm AEST in QLD and 3pm AWST for those in WA. See the full time conversion for Australian states below.

Australian Time ZoneTime Equivalent to 12 a.m. PT
Australian Western Standard Time (AWST)3:00 p.m. (same day)
Australian Central Standard Time (ACST)4:30 p.m. (same day)
Australian Central Daylight Time (ACDT)5:30 p.m. (same day)
Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)5:00 p.m. (same day)

Netflix first confirmed the summer release of the film via their social media accounts with a teaser featuring the voices of our two lead actors.

Scored over a calming beachy backdrop, Bader’s Poppy is heard asking “Where does Alex Nilsen stand on travel? Love or hate?”

“I mean, I’ve never really travelled anywhere. But this morning I saw this beautiful sunrise over this place that I’d never been before and I wouldn’t have if everything had gone according to plan. So love. I’m thinking love,” Blyth’s Alex responds.

What Is People We Meet On Vacation About?

Based on the 2021 novel of the same name by Emily Henry, People We Meet On Vacation traces the long-standing friendship between Polly and Alex.

Meeting during their college years at the University of Chicago, the two friends strike up an unlikely friendship despite their polar opposite personalities: Alex being the rule-following routine focus to Poppy’s free-spirited spontaneity. But you know what they say about opposites..

As a way to maintain their friendship after graduation, the friends hatch a plan to reunite each year at a holiday destination neither have been to before. Spurred on by Poppy’s insatiable wanderlust and travel blogger aspirations, Alex agrees, and so a decade of summers spent coming back together for a week, begins.

However, after an incident on one such trip, a communication breakdown threatens to unravel the dynamic they’ve worked so hard to create (or repress). Years of silence follow, until Poppy convinces Alex to meet her for one last jaunt in Croatia.

In case it’s not obvious, what ensues is a friends-to-lovers trope that ticks all the boxes, and then some, for rom-com lovers of all ages.

Who Is In The Film Adaption?

Announced earlier this year, Tom Bylth (The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes) is set to star as Alex Nielsen, while Emily Bader (star of the best show to ever get cancelled – My Lady Jane) will play co-lead Poppy Wright.

But the stacked cast list doesn’t end there. Joining the two leads is a roll call of notable names such as Sarah Catherine Hook (fresh off The White Lotus boat), Emily In Paris heartthrob Lucien Laviscount, Succession’s Alan Ruck and Jameela Jamil – just to name a few.

While the rest of the role allocations are still being kept under wraps, here’s where the cast announcements stand so far.

 • Tom Blyth as Alex
 • Emily Bader as Poppy
 • Sarah Catherine-Hook
 • Jameela Jamil
 • Lucien Laviscount
 • Lukas Gage
 • Alan Ruck
 • Molly Shannon
 • Tommy Do
 • Alice Lee
 • Miles Heizer

“I watched their chemistry read four times in 12 hours and I loved it more every single time,” Emily Henry told Tudum of Blyth and Bader’s casting. “The very first time I was laughing out loud, and I got so emotional by the end.”

Netflix Weighs In On The Secret ‘Stranger Things’ Finale Fans Can’t Stop Talking About https://www.marieclaire.com.au/life/entertainment/stranger-things-new-episode/ Thu, 08 Jan 2026 02:19:01 +0000 https://www.marieclaire.com.au/?p=1502044 All good things must come to an end!

The post Netflix Weighs In On The Secret ‘Stranger Things’ Finale Fans Can’t Stop Talking About appeared first on marie claire.

Following the Stranger Things season five finale, rumours of a secret, unreleased final episode have taken hold online, with fans convinced the ending they were given may have been little more than a decoy.

Perceived plot holes, narrative inconsistencies and, most notably, Eleven’s bleak and ambiguous fate have all fuelled a growing theory: what if the “final” episode we watched was never meant to be the real ending at all?

Instead, many viewers now believe the finale released on Netflix was a calculated misdirect, with the true conclusion still being held back.

The speculation gained further momentum when users noticed something curious on Netflix itself. Typing the phrase “fake ending” into the platform’s search bar returns Stranger Things as the top result. The coincidence has sent fans into overdrive, with many questioning whether Netflix is quietly playing along.

As the theory spread under the viral Conformity Gate banner, the show’s official social media accounts made a subtle but noticeable update. Their bios were changed to read: “ALL EPISODES OF STRANGER THINGS ARE NOW PLAYING.”

The update on TikTok and Instagram was quickly picked up by fans, with many interpreting it as a deliberate response from Netflix to the rumours.

Meanwhile, Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp, who has played Will Byers since season one, has made it clear he believes the story is complete. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter released on January 6, Schnapp said he felt the series ended exactly as it should.

“I remember crying a lot at the final table read. They had us read it for the first time all together and I just think it was perfect,” he said.

He added that creators Matt and Ross Duffer fully closed the story:

“They really left nothing more to be told.”

Show creator Matt Duffer also addressed Millie Bobby Brown’s intentionally ambiguous ending for Eleven.

“The characters can’t know and the audience can’t know because then it puts Eleven in danger and her sacrifice was for nothing. So there’s a point in not knowing. The boys obviously choose to believe. I’m not sure what the majority of people are thinking, but dipping my toes a little bit into social media, it seems like people are choosing to believe and are going to Mike Wheeler route,” he said.

Many had speculated that a secret episode would drop at 8pm EST in the US. However, with that window now passed, it appears the Conformity Gate theory may finally be losing steam.

The comment section on Stranger Things’ most recent official post has since been flooded with reactions, including “I believed until the last minute 😢” and “Honestly? Even if episode 9 doesn’t drop, this whole thing was very fun.”

For now, it seems the collective theorising, sleuthing and wishful thinking has reached its natural conclusion. All good things must come to an end — even Stranger Things.

Teagan Croft Is Disney’s New Rapunzel And Australia’s Latest Breakout Star https://www.marieclaire.com.au/life/entertainment/teagan-croft-rapunzel-tangled-live-action/ Thu, 08 Jan 2026 00:47:12 +0000 https://www.marieclaire.com.au/?p=1502019 We have a new Disney darling

The post Teagan Croft Is Disney’s New Rapunzel And Australia’s Latest Breakout Star appeared first on marie claire.

Australia’s presence in Disney’s live-action renaissance continues to grow.

Fresh off her breakout turn in True Spirit, Teagan Croft has been announced as the new Rapunzel in Walt Disney Pictures’ upcoming live-action Tangled, marking a major milestone in the 21-year-old actor’s rapidly accelerating career.

Who Is Teagan Croft?

Croft’s path into acting began early. At just nine years old, she took to the stage as Scout Finch in a theatrical adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird, a performance that quickly drew industry attention.

By 2016, she had secured the title role in the feature film The Osiris Child and a recurring role as Bella Loneragan on Home and Away, signalling the start of a career moving quickly beyond local screens.

Her international breakthrough came with DC’s Titans, where she starred as Raven from 2018 to 2023. The emotionally complex, half-demon superhero became a fan favourite, with Croft’s performance praised for its balance of vulnerability and intensity. The role cemented her status as one of Australia’s most promising young exports.

More recently, she fronted Netflix’s True Spirit, portraying Australian sailor Jessica Watson in the film adaptation of Watson’s solo circumnavigation. Despite the film’s success, Croft has remained strikingly grounded, previously telling marie claire she was balancing auditions with her first year of university.

Born in Sydney, Croft is the niece of Australian actresses Penny and Jessica McNamee, making her part of one of the country’s quietly influential acting dynasties.

What Do We Currently Know About Disney’s Live-Action Tangled?

Croft will step into the role of Rapunzel, the luminous, long-locked heroine originally voiced by Mandy Moore in Disney’s 2010 animated classic.

She stars opposite Milo Manheim, best known for Disney Channel’s Zombies franchise, who has been cast as charming runaway thief Flynn Rider.

Directing duties fall to Michael Gracey, a filmmaker fluent in spectacle and sentiment in equal measure. With The Greatest Showman and Better Man to his name, Gracey brings a distinctly cinematic, music-forward sensibility to the project, signalling a reimagining that leans into both visual grandeur and emotional payoff.

The screenplay comes from Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, with longtime Disney collaborator Kristin Burr producing, ensuring the film is anchored by hands well-versed in balancing nostalgia with reinvention.

Gracey had previously hinted at conversations around the project in late 2024, telling IF in December 2024 that while nothing was locked in, it would be “incredible” to bring Tangled to life. “There are a number of projects that I’m super excited about,” he said. “With those, you don’t know whether you’re one draft away from being able to jump in and make it or six drafts, so you have to wait and see.”

Tangled joins a growing slate of Disney live-action adaptations, following The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Snow White, Lilo & Stitch and the upcoming Moana.

Is Teagan Croft Also A Singer?

She certainly is. Stepping into Rapunzel’s tower comes with serious musical expectations, and while Croft is best known for her screen work, music has long sat at the centre of her creative orbit. Speaking previously to RUSSH, she reflected, “Music is as close as I’ll get to religion. There’s this universal feeling that music has, like a universal emotive code that we all can inherently crack.”

She has also spoken candidly about music’s grounding role in her everyday life. Telling marie claire australia that her go-to method for calming her nerves is soundtracked, “There’s this ’90s song I play by A Tribe Called Quest that reminds me to relax. It goes, ‘Relax yourself, girl, please settle down.’” Consider it her personal mantra, and now, perhaps, Rapunzel’s too.

And if early signs are anything to go by, Croft’s turn as Rapunzel may be the role that finally shifts her from rising star to household name.

The Cast Of ‘Industry’ Dishes On Everything You Need You Know About Season Four https://www.marieclaire.com.au/life/entertainment/industry-season-four/ Thu, 08 Jan 2026 00:34:10 +0000 https://www.marieclaire.com.au/?p=1501261 "I grew up being very envious of these people. ]]>
It’s 6am on a Friday, and I’m having breakfast with Kit Harrington, Marisa Abela, Max Minghella and Myhal’la. Well, technically, I’m having breakfast, and they’re preparing to go to bed as they dial into our Zoom call from London.

“Morning,” greets Marisa in a crisp white button-down and polka dot tie. On a taupe velvet armchair, Myhal’la strokes her large grey cat, Natalia. “She’s a big, lazy baby,” she quips. Beside her, Kit and Max exchange the usual pleasantries.

The group, who make up the cast of the hit series Industry, are eager to discuss the long-awaited return of the show’s fourth season.

Marisa Abela as Yasmin Kara-Hanani in Industry season 4.

The high-stakes series, which returns to HBO on January 11, follows a group of ambitious young bankers navigating the cutthroat world of London’s elite investment scene. It’s a razor-sharp portrait of ambition, power, and the personal cost of success, set in the pressure-cooker of a London trading floor.

The series starts with a group of graduates as they navigate the chaotic, cortisol-raising energy of the global investment bank, Pierpoint.

Here we meet Yasmin Kara-Hanani (Marisa Abela), the polished yet quietly ruthless daughter of a media magnate and Harper Stern (Myhal’la), a fiercely ambitious American outsider with no family money or safety net, who weaponised her intelligence and deception to survive Pierpoint at any cost.

As the series unfolds, its lens gradually widens beyond Pierpoint’s fluorescent-lit walls, peeling back the characters’ professional personas to reveal the messier realities of their lives outside the bank. Here we see how family, class, trauma and desire shape who they are.

Kit Harington as Sir Henry Muck in Industry season 4.

By the end of season three, Pierpoint has been sold off, leaving the characters unmoored, and we watch Yasmin marry Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington), a troubled yet wealthy aristocratic financier and political power broker. By choosing status and security over freedom, the union leaves her emotionally isolated and further entangled in elite power structures.

Meanwhile, Harper ends season three by joining forces with a billionaire power broker and his shadowy hedge fund world, abandoning sentiment entirely as she steps into a colder, more ruthless tier of financial power.

“Every season, there’s an evolution. We gradually take the audience to this place once they understand who these women are and why they make the choices that they make,” says Marisa.

The brilliance of Industry lies in how it pulls back the veil, exposing finance not just as an engine of wealth, but as a powerful political force shaping the world beyond the trading floor.

It reveals how extreme wealth doesn’t just move markets, but shapes elections, steers public narratives, and quietly dictates who holds power.

Myha’la as Harper Stern in Industry season 4.

“[Before doing Industry] I didn’t know how much people in finance control politics, how much money influences politics, how much money influences the media and how much the media influences politics,” says Myhal’la. “Girl, those one percenters are all scissoring each other. As a regular person, it’s pretty intense.”

For Harper and Yasmin, the pressure of working side by side initially forges their bond, with Marisa and Myha’la drawing on their own working friendship to shape the tension, rhythm and shorthand of the on-screen relationship.

“The fact that we work in the same industry means we have so much of a shared language and an understanding of each other’s lives,” says Marisa.

“Myhal’la is a brilliant actress, and I feel incredibly lucky to work with her. I see a lot of myself and her ambition, and I see a lot of myself in the way that she moves through her career. I’m incredibly proud of her as an actress, but we are great friends. How we met and why we know each other has everything to do with our relationship.”

A new addition to the season is Max Minghella, who you might recognise from his role as Nick Blaine in The Handmaid’s Tale. Max joins the cast as Whitney Halberstram, the CFO and founder of payment processing company Tender.

Max Minghella as Whitney Halberstram in Industry season 4.

Max admits he initially had some trepidation about joining the established cast, mainly due to the dense financial jargon in the series.

“Luckily, I had a lot of emotional support from Mr Kit Harrington. He was unbelievable on this journey of Industry, both off-screen and on,” says Max.

“He held my hand through something that I felt quite intimidated by. Over the course of a season, I went from finding it overwhelming to completely rewarding and addictive. I became addicted to how hard it was.”

In fact, the pair share many scenes this season, with Whitney’s story centring on his complex, multi-layered relationship with Henry.

“It’s a really complicated relationship. It starts with Henry and Whitney needing something from the other; on a shallow level, there are business opportunities for each of them,” says Max.

“But he also admires Henry’s sense of self. It comes from privilege; these are things he lacks and admires. On the flip side, there is a confidence to Whitney that I think is appealing to Henry.”

“[It’s funny] I grew up being very envious of privately educated or public school boys in the UK. Now I’ve developed empathy and understanding,” adds Kit.

Season four of Industry is streaming on HBO on January 11.

While we impatiently await The Summer I Turned Pretty movie, fans of the series may be able to get their Connie Baby fix via other avenues. Actor Chris Briney has officially been cast in a new film, Clashing Through The Snow.

Per Deadline, the upcoming project sees Briney stepping into the lead of a fresh Amazon MGM Studios comedy feature that’s shaping up to be a holiday season favorite.

Billed as a sort of Planes, Trains and Automobiles for a new generation, Clashing Through The Snow will be directed by Carlson Young, best known for her work on Upgraded, and penned by Love Hard writers Daniel Mackey and Rebecca Ewing. Production is slated to kick off in February, with the film targeting a 2026 holiday release—meaning fans might get to see Briney in a very different setting before Conrad Fisher returns to screens.

While details about Briney’s character and the female lead haven’t been revealed yet, the tone and creative team suggest a festive, laugh-filled romp through seasonal chaos that will once again have us head over heels from Chris Briney at Christmas. We can only hope there are many wet-haired and festive cable-knit clad moments involved.

Given both The Summer I Turned Pretty and Clashing Through The Snow are being produced under the banned of Amazon’s MGM Studios, fans can optimistically assume the anticipated post-finale TSITP film timeline is being accounted for.

In December of 2025, creator Jenny Han shared an update on the long-awaited movie adaptation, revealing that while she’s made significant progress on the script, it won’t be arriving as soon as many fans had hoped.

“I just wrote it,” Han said during TheWrap’s 2025 Power Women Summit, “we haven’t filmed anything yet.”

Initially fans speculated a Christmas 2025 release may be on the cards, given how significant the holiday is to the series plotlines. However, Han quickly shut this down to avoid any disappointment.

“I know everyone was hoping it would come out this Christmas,” she explained, “but unfortunately, that’s not happening. It’s not possible.”

Call us hopeful, but that could mean Christmas 2026 is a possibility. A Chris Briney festive double feature is now officially top of our wish-lists.

No one could have predicted the box office success of Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried’s thriller, The Housemaid – with the exception, of course, of fans of the original book.

The story, based on the novel of the same name by Frieda McFadden follows Millie (Sweeney), a woman down on her luck who takes a live-in housekeeping job for a wealthy couple, Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar). On the surface, it’s a dream opportunity: a beautiful house, steady income, a fresh start. But very quickly, things feel… off.

What begins as a “rich people behaving badly” story spirals into a dark power play full of unreliable characters, buried trauma, and sharp plot twists that completely flip your understanding of who’s victim and who’s dangerous.

Having already surpassed an eye-watering $133 million globally, Lionsgate have now enthusiastically greenlit a sequel to the film.

The film is expected to follow McFadden’s second book in the trilogy, The Housemaid’s Secret, with Sydney Sweeney reprising her role, per Variety.

“It’s been thrilling to see audiences around the world fall in love with The Housemaid and the incredible work of our talented cast and crew,” director Paul Feig said in a statement.

“We’re lucky that Freida McFadden has already extended Millie’s journey on the page, and that we get to work with [screenwriter] Rebecca Sonnenshine and Lionsgate to bring this next story to audiences.”

What Is The Housemaid’s Secret About?

Once again centred on Millie Calloway, the story follows her attempt to rebuild her life — an effort complicated by the lingering shadow of her past.

Drawn into a new role within another affluent household, Millie finds herself navigating a familiar landscape of wealth, control and concealed truths.

As psychological tension mounts, McFadden revisits her central themes of power, perception and vulnerability, proving that escape is rarely as simple as walking away.

If your formable tween and teen years fell somewhere in the late noughties and 2010s you were lucky enough to live through the cultural phenomenon that was Twilight.

From the release of the first book in 2005 to the film adaptation’s premiere in 2008, through to the final installment of the saga in 2012 and even the ‘Twilight Renaissance’ of 2020, the franchise has become an everlasting cultural touchstone. One that’s begging for a revival.

It’s not just Twihards calling for the films to receive the reboot treatment, with star of the film Kristen Stewart, aka Bella Swan, throwing not only her support behind the idea but her desire to direct the project.

Having just made her directorial debut with The Chronology Of Water, the 35-year-old was asked if she’d consider flexing her new skillset on a Twilight remake.

“I was talking to one of my friends about that movie ’cause it’s on TV a lot over the holidays,” she said. “I was like, ‘How is that aging?,’ because they watch it every year on Christmas with their fam,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

She then went on: ““Imagine if we had a huge budget and a bunch of love and support and … I would love to readapt. Yeah, sure. I’ll do the remake. I’m doing it. I’m committed.”

Twilight

Thanks to his recent press tour for Die, My Love with Jennifer Lawrence, we know Robert Pattinson would be on board, too.

During Vanity Fair’s lie detector test with Lawrence, she asked: “If they were gonna direct a new Twilight, would you do it?”

He replied without flinching: “Oh yeah, for sure.”While the Twilight fandom may not be as rabid as its 2010s peak, the Twihard fanbase is as dedicated as ever. The infamous renaissance of 2020 – spurred on but COVID locked downs giving many time to revisit all things nostalgic and the release of all five films on streaming platforms – proved that.

In fact, a Twilight remake could birth a whole new generation of fans, with many too young to feel the full effect of the phenomenon still wholly aware of its cultural significance.

On reddit one going as far as to ask: “What was the twilight craze actually like? I’m too young to remember.”

The query spurred many fond memories of the era, with one user responding: “There was never just “a” midnight showing. At my local theaters there were so many people they would literally have 6+ showings all starting at 12, 12:01, 12:02, etc”

Another adding: “It was insane, I had a girl offer me $200 to take my place in a crowd just to see Robert Pattinson make an appearance at a mall. And I DIDN’T ACCEPT THE OFFER.”

If you thought Team Jeremiah V Team Conrad was fiery last year, you clearly don’t recall the OGs, Team Edward V Team Jacob. If you ask us, with the return of appointment television and teen romance dominating television, there’s no better time to reignite the debate.

Is ‘Stranger Things’ Episode 9 Coming Tomorrow? The Conformity Gate Theory, Explained https://www.marieclaire.com.au/life/entertainment/stranger-things-episode-nine/ Tue, 06 Jan 2026 01:02:49 +0000 https://www.marieclaire.com.au/?p=1501765 We don't believe in coincidences!

The post Is ‘Stranger Things’ Episode 9 Coming Tomorrow? The Conformity Gate Theory, Explained appeared first on marie claire.

]]>

Stranger Things season five delivered a finale befitting the cultural juggernaut it became— or so it seemed. Across eight episodes, the final chapter unfolded in three volumes, premiering on November 26 and December 25, 2025, before closing with a New Year’s Eve finale on December 31.

With years of unanswered questions to address and the fate of Hawkins, and the world, resting on the defeat of its antagonist, Vecna, the task was undeniably ambitious.

Still, the Duffer Brothers largely rose to the occasion, weaving together long-running storylines and emotional arcs into an ending that felt considered, cohesive and, for many viewers, deeply satisfying.

For others, however, it wasn’t quite enough. A growing fan theory circulating online, dubbed “Conformity Gate,” claims the finale audiences watched wasn’t the true ending at all. Some fans are convinced that another episode is still to come, with speculation suggesting there will be a surprise release tomorrow on January 7.

So, is a surprise episode nine on the way? Here’s what’s fuelling the theory.

@eouji01

Because why else would they include such detail Milkshakegate is REAL, birthdaygate is real, all the gates are REAL 😭 We reacted to volume 2 exactly how they wanted us to 😳 Also what if it’s just Kali and Vecna working together and everything is like a mirage that she’s making us see which is why everything feels off #strangerthings5 #4thwalltheory #fyp #strangerthingstheory #voltagedialgate

Is Stranger Things Episode 9 Coming Out?

Speculation around a secret ninth episode of Stranger Things is fuelled by a growing conviction that season five’s ending is not an ending at all. The fan theory known as Conformity Gate suggests the epilogue is a constructed illusion, allegedly engineered by Vecna, whose defeat may be far less final than the series implies.

Supporters point to a pattern of visual and narrative irregularities woven throughout the final episodes. The Hawkins High graduation scene is a recurring focal point: characters stand in eerily uniform poses that echo Henry Creel’s rigid physicality, while the Wheeler family debut near-identical cropped hairstyles that further strengthen the comparison.

In the epilogue, reality begins to fray. A student is seen holding a blank yellow poster with no clear purpose, and the repeated appearance of the “WHATZIT?” board game has been interpreted by fans as a reference to the children’s nickname for Henry, “Mr Whatsit.” Even the final stack of Dungeons & Dragons books has been scrutinised, with fans claiming the spines spell out “X A LIE,” a pointed reference to Dimension X.

Narratively, the season actively trains viewers to distrust what they’re seeing. Holly’s journey through Vecna’s memories hinges on identifying small errors, such as a merry-go-round rendered in the wrong colour. Similar slips appear elsewhere: a tower pointer changes from grey in Volume One to red in Volume Two. Even Will’s coming-out speech references milkshakes at Melvald’s, despite the shop not selling them, a detail Vecna might remember from his time as Henry Creel when Melvald’s used to be a diner.

“I don’t believe in coincidences… not anymore.”
The line is delivered by Lucas in the first volume of season five as he begins to piece together Vecna’s plan to target Holly. For many fans, it landed as more than just character dialogue. One popular theory thread suggests the moment operates as a subtle fourth-wall break, with Lucas effectively signalling that the details matter, and that what’s unfolding may not be as straightforward as it seems.

Layered with self-aware dialogue that openly questions neat, satisfying endings — particularly Max’s frustration with Mike’s too-perfect D&D conclusions — fans believe the show is quietly commenting on its own finale.

When Is Stranger Things Episode 9 Allegedly Coming Out?

According to Conformity Gate theorists, a surprise final episode of Stranger Things could arrive as soon as tomorrow, January 7, 2026. The date gained traction after Netflix shared a cryptic post reading, “Your future is on the way,” accompanied by a January 7 timestamp, prompting fans to question whether the message was more than a generic tease.

While the post is officially positioned as a promotional spot for Netflix’s 2026 slate, viewers were quick to note how heavily it leans into Stranger Things imagery. Season five posters line the walls, the visuals dip unmistakably into Upside Down territory, and the overall tone mirrors the show’s mythology more than any other title. That could point to the upcoming spin-off, but believers argue it may also signal that the “real” finale is still to come, or at least about to be revealed.

The timing, too, feels pointed. January 7 coincides with Orthodox Christmas, aligning neatly with season five’s holiday-heavy release strategy, which saw episodes land on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. For those invested in the theory, it’s just enough symmetry to keep hope alive.

Has Netflix Or The Duffer Brothers Commented On Conformity Gate?

Neither Netflix nor the Duffer Brothers have acknowledged the Conformity Gate theory, and there’s no indication it played any role in the ending they ultimately delivered.

January 7, then, will determine whether the theory holds any weight — or whether it remains an elaborate exercise in fan speculation.

If you can’t get enough of gaudy outfits, idyllic Parisian backdrops and hot chefs, you’re in luck – Emily In Paris is officially returning for season six. Although, a huge question mark hangs over the fate of the latter, Gabriel, next season.

Netflix announced the confirmation of a new season via Instagram. In the clip Lily Collins, who plays the titular character of Emily, walks off the balcony of a Parisian apartment, before a Tik-Tok worthy transition shows her on the screen of a phone. Positioned in front of a giant croissant, she seemingly blows out a number six candle.

“Home sweet home EMILY IN PARIS is returning for Season 6!” the caption reads.

While the post confirms Emily is staying put in Paris (for now), no further details on the cast or potential plot lines have been revealed.

Some fans have expressed concerns and theories that the show’s original love interest, Gabriel, won’t be returning for season six. In season five, Emily and the hot chef part ways as he leaves to work on a yacht as a private chef.

“I’m excited for the future, wherever it brings me,” Gabriel told Emily in the season finale. “And I think you should be too.”

The storyline comes after Lucas Bravo, who portrays the character, expressed his frustrations over Gabriel’s storyline, at one point calling him mashed avocado.

“In Season 1, there was a lot of me in him,” Bravo told IndieWire, “But as they made him kind of unaware of his surroundings, of the dynamic, always victimising and always being completely lost in translation and oblivious to anything that is happening around him and being manipulated by everyone, it kind of became not fun for me to shoot or to see a character I love so much and brought me so much, being slowly turned into guacamole. I really grew apart from him.”

Emily In Paris Season 5 Recap

So while the door remains open between Gabriel and Emily – the chef having invited her abroad to Greece via postcard – it may be up to Bravo on whether he returns.

Agence Grâteau’s Roman expansion starts on shaky ground, including a disastrous meeting with Fendi and an exceedingly difficult client in Antonia Muratori. Unfortunately for the agency, it’s a downhill slide from there, ultimately leading the team back to their Parisian base and Emily to end her romance with Marcello. Emily’s friendship with Mindy also becomes strained when she learns her bestie has been sleeping with her ex, Alfie in secret.

By the finale, it’s Mindy who finds herself in the season’s most scandalous love triangle. The singer has rekindled her romance with Nico after he left the family business to prove his love for her before proposing, all the while Alfie confesses his growing feelings for her.

The first awards ceremony of 2026, the 31st Annual Critics Choice Awards which celebrates the best in film and television, are being held today, January 5th, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

Kicking off the season, the ceremony also serves as one of the clearest indicators of how the Oscars race is shaping up, with film critics weighing in on the year’s most talked-about performances, prestige television and breakout stars.

Close behind is Paul Thomas Anderson’s darkly comic thriller One Battle After Another with 14 nods, while Frankenstein and Hamnet each secured 11. On the television side, Netflix’s one-take sensation Adolescence led the pack, dominating the categories with six nominations.

As for local talent, Rose Byrne and Joel Edgerton each recieved nods in the best actress and best actor category while veritable internet boyfriend Jacob Elordi is nominated for his supporting role in Frankenstein.

The Critics Choice Awards are one of Hollywood’s most influential fixtures, celebrating the best in film and television as voted by professional critics across the United States and Canada. Stranger Things Season 4 Recap

The Season 4 finale brought all the storylines together as the Hawkins crew launched a multi-pronged attack on Vecna. Eleven entered Max’s mind remotely using Nina, acting as psychic backup while Lucas and Erica defended Max in the Creel House, and Dustin and Eddie distracted Vecna’s swarm in the Upside Down.

Eddie made the ultimate sacrifice, choosing to fight the demobats instead of fleeing, and died in Dustin’s arms. Meanwhile, Nancy, Steve, and Robin attacked Vecna’s physical body, setting it on fire and shooting him, seemingly killing him, though his body disappeared.

Max became the emotional focus, offering herself as bait. Vecna nearly killed her; her heart stopped, and her limbs were broken. Eleven, devastated, used her powers to revive Max, who remained comatose.

Despite their efforts, Vecna’s plan succeeded: Max’s near-death opened the fourth gate, and the gates merged, tearing Hawkins apart and spreading a red, toxic darkness. The season ended grimly as the Upside Down bled into Hawkins, with the group watching ash-like spores fall — a clear sign that the real war was coming.

Whether it be a toxic entanglement, an ex you can’t shake or a breakup that came without closure, some relationships continue to haunt us long after they’ve ended. Perhaps that’s why Tell Me Lies has the internet in such a chokehold.

If you don’t relate to the former, it may just be the gripping drama and sheer disbelief that Lucy continues to pine for the walking-red-flag that is her ex, Stephen.

For the uninitiated, Tell Me Lies centres on the toxic relationship between Lucy and Stephen that takes place over eight years, from their first meeting at university to the wedding of their close friends years later. There are affairs with teachers, car accidents covered up, an abundance of secrets and, of course, lies.

This season has truly taken the drama to the next level, so let’s unpack the theories and what we know about season three.

What Happens In Season Three Of Tell Me Lies?

tell me lies stephen and lucy season three
(Source: Hulu)

Season three of Tell Me Lies is just around the corner with Hulu confirming the show will premiere in Australia on Janaury 13th via Disney+.

So what drama can we expect this season? The show has deviated from the book in that Stephen doesn’t end up with Lucy’s best friend Lydia, in fact, Lydia isn’t in the book at all, so the backstory of how the two got together is still to be explored.

We also have the complex situation between Bree and Oliver (and Marianne?) to play out, as well as a resolution between Lucy and Stephen and some kind of ramifications for Macy’s death in the car accident Stephen caused. Then, there’s Wriggley and his brother Drew’s relationship, the downfall of which Stephen also played a hand in–will he be exposed?

The official synopsis for season three reads: “Season three follows Lucy and Stephen as they’ve rekindled their tumultuous romance in time for spring semester at Baird College.”

“While they promise things will be different this time, past indiscretions hinder their best intentions, and Lucy finds herself embroiled in a controversy she wants nothing to do with. Meanwhile, the disastrous repercussions from the previous year also force Lucy and Stephen’s friends to face their own destructive behaviours. As scandalous secrets fester around campus, vicious consequences threaten Lucy and everyone in her circle.”

Tell Me Lies Season Three Tailer

We finally have our first full-length trailer for the new season and it’s intense, to say the least.

The clip open on Lucy tearfully standing in front of a camera as she says, “I need to apologise to everyone…”

The Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf Theory

In episode seven, we see Lucy and Bree attend Marianne and Oliver’s Christmas party. In the kitchen, Marianne reveals hosting the party is her “favourite tradition of the year” before making reference to the 1962 play.

“Reminds me of graduate school, or Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf,” she says before raising a glass of champagne.

Why are fans dissecting this seemingly insignificant interaction? Because it may not be fleeting at all, instead a reference to Marianne knowing Bree is sleeping with her husband. In Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf, two college professors who are also married invite a young student couple over for dinner, but as the night progresses their dysfunctional relationship is laid bare. A little too close to home, don’t you think?

Not only has it alerted fans to the high possibility Marianne knows about Bree, but some have theorised that they become a thruple of sorts in the future.

tell me lies bree and oliver virginia woolf theory
(Source: Hulu)

Looking back to episode six, we saw Bree on the phone to someone we originally presumed to be Oliver, but now some believe it also could have been Marianne. Following Oliver and Bree’s romp in the laundry at the party, a question of whether she will fall pregnant and give the child up to Oliver and Marianne is also being thrown around by fans. Wild.

“Listen to me, I am getting married tomorrow. I have a chance to be happy, okay? Like genuinely happy,” she says into the phone. “This is my chance to have a family, to live a life that I don’t feel like a visitor in. So please just leave me alone, I want to feel like a good person again.”

That’s a lot to unpack with just the finale to go.

Emily In Paris Season Four Recap

At the end of season four Emily was facing a major crossroads in her career and love life. Offered the chance to run the new branch of Agence Grateau in Rome, she packs her bags and officially says ‘au revoir’ to Paris. The move deepens her blossoming romance with Marcello, the charismatic Italian fashion heir, seemingly spelling the end of her four-season long will-they-won’t-they romance with Gabriel.

Back in Paris, Gabriel finally achieves his long-dreamed-of Michelin star and, in the wake of this milestone, realises he still wants to share his life with Emily. The finale closes on a dramatic cliffhanger: Emily arrives at her new Rome apartment ready for a fresh start opening the door to Marcello at the same time we see Gabriel at the door to Emily’s old apartment in Paris.

The post Jennifer Lawrence And Josh Hutcherson’s ‘Hunger Games’ Return, Explained appeared first on marie claire.

]]>

The odds are in our favour! More than a decade after they last stepped into the arena, Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are officially returning to Panem.

Multiple outlets have confirmed that the former co-stars will reprise their iconic roles as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping—the upcoming prequel centred on a young Haymitch Abernathy.

While the bulk of the film follows Haymitch’s brutal ascent during the 50th Hunger Games, fans of the book will recognise the likelihood of a flash-forward cameo.

Although Woody Harrelson has not yet confirmed whether he’ll appear onscreen, his unmistakable voice can be heard in the film’s first teaser, promising: “I think these games are gonna be different.”

In an interview with Variety, Hutcherson had already hinted that a return to The Hunger Games universe might be on the cards.

“I would love to be back on set with Francis, with Jen, with Liam, with Woody [Harrelson],” he said. “It would not take any convincing at all. I’d be there in a heartbeat.”

When the conversation shifted to whether the new film might recreate the novel’s ending, he kept his cards close.

“That would be a dream come true. Do dreams come true? Sometimes. Sometimes not. Sometimes, yeah.”

How Do Katniss And Peeta Return In The Prequel?

Lawrence and Hutcherson are expected to appear in a flash-forward sequence as Katniss and Peeta, mirroring the epilogue of Suzanne Collins’ novel.

In the book, Katniss and Peeta sit with Haymitch after the events of Mockingjay and learn the full tragedy of his past, prompting a rare moment of tenderness between the hardened survivors.

When Will The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping Be Released In Australia?

Mark your calendars: the film arrives in Australian cinemas on November 20, 2026. If you can’t wait, Suzanne Collins’ novel that inspired the prequel is already on shelves.

Who Else Is In The Sunrise On The Reaping Cast?

Sunrise On The Reaping boasts an expansive cast led by Joseph Zada as young Haymitch, alongside Glenn Close, McKenna Grace, Elle Fanning, Ralph Fiennes, Kieran Culkin, Billy Porter, Jesse Plemons and Whitney Peak.

Who Is Directing Sunrise On The Reaping?

Franchise veteran Francis Lawrence returns to direct, bringing the same expansive vision he delivered in Catching Fire and both Mockingjay films.

Who Wrote The Screenplay?

Screenwriter Billy Ray, who adapted the original 2012 film, returned to pen the prequel. His previous credits include Captain Phillips (for which he received an Oscar nomination), Flightplan and Terminator: Dark Fate.

Producers Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson also return, alongside executive producer Cameron MacConomy.

Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson step into a remarkable real-life love story in Song Sung Blue, the upcoming musical drama inspired by Milwaukee couple Mike and Claire Sardina.

The pair rose to unexpected fame as ‘Lightning & Thunder’, a Neil Diamond tribute act that transformed their shared love of performing into something far bigger and more meaningful than they ever anticipated.

Directed by Craig Brewer, the film brings their world to life with a rich supporting cast and a tone that captures the warmth, charm and slightly eccentric energy that surrounded the Sardinas throughout their years on stage.

What Is Song Sung Blue About?

At its core, Song Sung Blue follows two people searching for steadiness while holding tight to a lifelong dream. Hugh Jackman plays Mike Sardina, a divorced Vietnam veteran quietly proud of reaching twenty years of sobriety in the late 1980s.

It is in this moment of hard-won stability that he meets Claire Stengl, played by Kate Hudson, and a spark of connection grows into a partnership that reshapes both their lives. Onstage and at home, they find a sense of purpose they had almost stopped believing in.

The film unfolds as a finely tuned mix of melancholy and lift, celebrating the resilience and tenderness of two ordinary people who keep pushing forward even when the odds turn against them.

Director Craig Brewer avoids sentimentality and instead grounds the story in honest emotion, bolstered by music that rises exactly when the characters need it most.

Who Makes Up The Song Sung Blue Cast?

Alongside Jackman and Hudson, supporting performances include Michael Imperioli, Ella Anderson, Mustafa Shakir, Fisher Stevens and Jim Belushi.

Hudson’s portrayal of Claire has already earned significant attention, including a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy.

Taking on the role also encouraged her to reconnect with her own musical roots. In an interview with the LA Times, she explained that she had spent years in the studio but had long been afraid to release her music publicly. Her debut album, Glorious, eventually arrived in 2024.

Both Hudson and Jackman have spoken about the connection they needed to develop in order to portray the couple with authenticity. As Hudson explained, “One of the hardest things to do is fake chemistry. You cannot do that. You have to actually fall in love with each other and find the chemical connection.”

Song Sung Blue 2008 Documentary: Where To Watch In Australia

The film is directly inspired by the 2008 documentary Song Sung Blue, directed by Greg Kohs. If you want to experience the real story before seeing the movie, the documentary is available to watch on YouTube.

Song Sung Blue Movie Release Date

Song Sung Blue will debut in international cinemas on Christmas Day, which translates to Boxing Day in Australia. A streaming release has not yet been confirmed.

The concert film is officially having a moment. Between Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour: The Final Show dropping tomorrow, Selena Gomez’s My Mind and Me (2022), Lizzo’s Live in Concert (2022), Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour (2024), and Beyoncé’s Renaissance (2023), it’s basically official: if your tour wasn’t made into a movie, did it even happen?

Billie Eilish is proving that hers did, firmly staking her claim in the genre with the help of James Cameron, who co-directs the film.

She has just dropped the first trailer for Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), and it is exactly the kind of immersive experience you want to get lost in.

The film hits theaters in 3D on March 20, 2026, capturing Eilish, 23, at the height of a record-breaking tour that spanned 106 shows across four continents.

The trailer opens with a surreal moment only a celebrity like Eilish could summon. She spots a fan camping outside her hotel window, and within minutes of sharing a photo, swarms of fans rush to catch a glimpse of her.

A playful tap on the glass sends them screaming in delight, a sweet, intimate moment that perfectly counterbalances the sheer spectacle of her tour.

Cameron appears in the trailer, hyping the cutting-edge technology behind the film. “No one’s shot a concert film on this scale before,” he says. “We’re using tech that’s never been used before.”

But Eilish is not just flexing production extravagence. The film also delves into vulnerability. She reflects, teary-eyed, on performing her first tour without her brother and long-time collaborator Finneas, reading a note he left her:

“It’s been the joy of my life to travel the world with you… Good luck tonight, but you don’t need it, no one does it like you do.”

Eilish first teased the Cameron collaboration during her July Manchester shows. “I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron, and it’s going to be in 3D. You and me, Manchester, are part of this project.”

Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour promises to be more than a showcase of hits. It is a cinematic love letter to fans, a behind-the-scenes look at one of music’s most compelling young artists, and proof that the concert film lives on.

Zendaya’s bridal era is about to unfold both on and off the silver screen. While we never dared endeavoured to imagine the actress with anyone but her betrothed, Tom Holland, the announcement of her new film, The Drama, has us unexpectedly ‘shipping her with Robert Pattinson – purely for fictional purposes, of course.

A24, the indie film company that’s directive appears to be making audience’s dreams come true, announced the new film via their Instagram.

“THE DRAMA. Formal invitation to follow,” the post read.

With nothing but a save the date (date excluded) to go by so far, here’s what we know as we await our formal invites.

What Is The Drama About?

Written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, the film is slated as a comedy-drama-romance, a dram-rom-com if you will. According to IMDB, the logline reads: “A happily engaged couple is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails.”

A follow-up post from A24, which showed a mock engagement announcement from the film including a black and white photo of RPatz and Zendaya donning a sparkling diamond, gave a little extra insight.

The newspaper clipping from the Boston Globe (which may have actually appeared in the paper as a marketing stunt) reads: “Mr and Mrs Harwood of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, announce the engagement of their daughter, Emma Hardwood to Charlie Thompson, son of Mr and Mrs Alan Thompson of London, England. Mr Hardwood, a decorated military veteran is proud to share this joyous news.

It goes on: “Miss Hardwood is a 2013 graduate of Portside High School and a 2017 honors graduate of Boston University where she earned her B.A. degree in English. She is currently employed at Mission Books.

“The future groom, Mr Thompson, was a 2004 graduate of Eaton College and went on to earn his ph.D. in Art History from Tufts University. He serves as the Director of the Cambridge Art Museum.”

When Will The Drama Be Released?

Eagle-eyed fans (its us) who paid particularly close attention to the faux-engagement notice, may have noticed it finished with a wedding date: April 3, 2026.

Is this the release date of The Drama? Yes, so you can officially save the date.

The Drama Trailer

The first trailer for the film dropped just a day after its initital announcement and it’s say to say, RPatz and Zendaya’s characters are not emanating with the glow of a newly engaged couple…

We Asked ‘Big Brother’s’ Colin If He’s Still Together With Holly https://www.marieclaire.com.au/life/entertainment/big-brother-colin-holly-still-together/ Tue, 09 Dec 2025 03:52:13 +0000 https://www.marieclaire.com.au/?p=1499978 It looks like their chemistry has survived the cameras

The post We Asked ‘Big Brother’s’ Colin If He’s Still Together With Holly appeared first on marie claire.

]]>

Less than 24 hours after leaving the Big Brother house, Colin Ridley is already exhibiting the standard symptoms of a reality TV exit: excessive caffeine, a phone that will not stop vibrating, and the abrupt requirement to process emotions in public.

“It’s honestly surreal,” he says. “My Instagram is bombed, bro. I’ve already had five coffees.”

In between calling me “brev,” Colin also talks about Holly, with the slightly dazed devotion of someone still suspended in a televised love narrative.

What happens to their relationship now that it no longer exists inside a contained environment with a built-in audience? His answer is hopeful, if vague.

“I feel like for us in the Big Brother house, it’s a high pressure cooker environment. And I feel like the fact that we stood by each other, we were each other’s constant, each other’s rock…. It’s going to be very refreshing and very, very elite, brev, to just see where things go in the outside world,” he says.

Inside the house, their relationship served as one of the season’s primary storylines and its most dependable point of friction. Colin is 21. Holly is 31. The ten-year age gap became a standing point of analysis among both housemates and viewers, interpreted variously as harmless chemistry or a sociological red flag.

Fellow contestant Abiola put it most plainly: a 21-year-old boy often has the maturity of a teenager, while women, especially women ten years older, generally do not.

The house’s eldest resident was even less theoretical. After multiple run-ins with their PDA, 67-year-old Jane convened a house meeting to formally object. “I don’t want to walk in on it,” she said. “If my sons were having a big snog session on my couch, I’d probably give them a whack.”

Colin remains unmoved by the discourse, praising Holly as an amazing person. Asked whether the age gap is an issue, he dismisses it without hesitation. “Not at all,” he says. “Man, I look at her and I see the most beautiful, intelligent, smart, amazing woman in the world. I don’t see anything about a number or an age or anything like that.”

His post-eviction declaration of love was met with enthusiastic approval from home. “All my mates have been so proud,” he says. “I nearly teared up.” They even sent him a video of themselves watching the Grand Finale episode together, which he describes as his “podium win.”

His central takeaway from the experience is simpler than the discourse around it. A letter from his mum near the finale, he says, reframed everything. His goal was to make her proud. Then he met Holly, and wanted to make her proud too. Somewhere near the end, he realised he had also been making a case for himself.

As he puts it: “My biggest takeaway was to prove to people, to prove to the world that people like me, without a plan, who don’t really feel like they fit into the mould or the status quo, that it doesn’t matter. You can achieve anything. You can do anything. I didn’t even think Holly would speak to me, bro. And look where we’re at now.”

Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington & Cailee Spaeny Reveal How They Spot A Murderer https://www.marieclaire.com.au/life/entertainment/knives-out-three-cast-interview/ Tue, 09 Dec 2025 03:40:40 +0000 https://www.marieclaire.com.au/?p=1499400 “Glenn Close is my number one suspect. Then Andrew Scott.”

The post Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington & Cailee Spaeny Reveal How They Spot A Murderer appeared first on marie claire.

In early 2024, Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington and Cailee Spaeny were each sent an encrypted document and tasked with solving a murder. “[The document] was on an iPad with a passcode and then in an app with a different passcode. If you pause, it starts from the beginning again,” says Kunis. “I won’t lie, I tried to find out who did it, but I couldn’t work it out.”

The reason for this elusive assignment was in fact the script for the third instalment in the popular detective franchise, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. The film, which lands on Netflix on December 12, centres on a mysterious murder inside a small-town church with a dark past.

When a charismatic priest (Josh Brolin) is found dead under suspicious circumstances, famed detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) — back on the case — teams up with the newly arrived Reverend Jud Duplenticy (Josh O’Connor) to untangle the truth.

Leading the official police investigation is Geraldine Scott (Mila Kunis), a local cop who finds herself outnumbered by secrets, lies and an unsettling number of potential suspects.

The suspect line up is a string of familiar faces: Martha Delacroix (Glenn Close) the devoted church manager, Dr. Nat Sharp (Jeremy Renner) the town doctor, Vera Draven (Kerry Washington) a lawyer, Lee Ross (Andrew Scott) a best-selling author, Simone Vivane (Cailee Spaeny) a former concert cellist, Cy Draven (Daryl McCormack) an aspiring politician and Samson Holt (Thomas Haden Church) the church groundskeeper.

Aside from the razor-sharp whodunit script writing, the real brilliance of the Knives Out films lies in their meticulous world-building. Every room, costume, framed photo and oddly placed trinket is a breadcrumb designed to steer you closer—or further—from the truth.

“The interior of the church was a set on a stage, and I’ve never been more blown away by a set before in my life. At times, I forgot we were on a set because it was so real and detailed,” says Kunis.

“Jenny Egan, our costume designer, is so talented, she really enjoys the nuance of differences between each character, and figuring out how to express that through clothes.”

And with a world this detailed—and a suspect list this stacked—it’s impossible not to wonder: if a real-life mystery landed in their laps, who would they point the finger at?

“Glenn Close,” says Kunis without any hesitation. “Then Andrew Scott.”

“I always go with Josh Brolin,” adds Washington.

“Really? I would go with Brolin for the detective. I think he would get down and dirty,” adds Kunis.

“[Mila, you would be] the detective because when there’s something you want to know, you’re like a dog with a bone. You’re gonna find it, and you’re gonna solve it,” replies Washington.

“True, but hear me out. If something’s gross, I would tell Brolin to go in the hole and find out what happened,” says Kunis. “He’s rugged a little dirtier than I am. I’ll be the big picture, but then I’d have him go and do the dirty work.”

The 2026 Golden Globe Awards nominations have dropped and this year’s list reveals a bold mix of clear frontrunners and surprising snubs. Leading the pack is One Battle After Another, which secured nine nominations, including Best Picture, Director and nods for all its major actors. Not far behind are Sentimental Value with eight nods, Sinners with seven, and Hamnet — along with Frankenstein — among other critical favourites.

The Globes buzz isn’t just about who made the cut, but also about who didn’t. Everyone’s favourite Wicked: For Good was notably kept out of Best Picture contention, a surprise given its high profile and the presence of its stars in other nominated categories. Meanwhile, Sinners‘ leading lady, Wunmi Mosaku, who played Michael B. Jordan’s love interest in the film was also snubbed, despite many noms in other categories. Sydney Sweeny’s name was also missing from the list for her role in Christy.

The 2026 Golden Globes is swiftly shaping up to be one of the most competitive awards’ ceremonies yet with favourites, under-the-radar gems and unexpected omissions all jostling for the spotlight. See the full list of nominations, below.

The post Coco Beeby Has Been Crowned The Winner Of ‘Big Brother Australia’ 2025 appeared first on marie claire.

]]>
Big Brother Australia has revealed its Season 16 winner, with Coco taking home the $135,000 prize after a turbulent 2025 season that marked the franchise’s long-awaited return to form.

Instantly swarmed by her kids as she entered the stage, Coco told the crowd: “You don’t know how much this means to me.”

“I just went in there and I was myself. My whole life, I’ve been myself, and it was never accepted. So to be accepted by all of you…”

The Channel 10 reboot proved to be the revival the show needed, reinstating the original live format that once made Big Brother a national obsession.

The season launched on November 9 inside a newly rebuilt house at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, with 13 housemates entering under constant surveillance. Live nominations, live evictions, public voting and a 24/7 livestream were all restored for the first time in more than a decade.

From there, chaos followed almost immediately, with early twists, power plays and public votes reshaping the game from its opening days.

Beyond the strategy, the season was defined by sharp ideological clashes. Within the first week, housemates were locked in heated debates around gender roles, political beliefs and beauty standards, reinstating the show’s status as a live mirror of Australian culture.

Michael, the season’s first eviction, left as a divisive figure. He was followed by Mia, whose unrequited feelings for Edward — the 30-year-old South Australian sales manager — played out in painfully awkward fashion.

After the evictions of Jane and Holly, Abiola made the shock decision to self-evict on day 20, accepting a $15,000 Christmas cash-out in a strategic exit that nevertheless left a noticeable void in the house.

One of the season’s most brutal moments came during a Christmas carol challenge, when Vincent was blindsided with a snap eviction and given just 30 seconds to say goodbye before exiting in full festive costume.

Romance also played a defining role this season. The divisive showmance between 31-year-old Holly and 21-year-old Colin stirred tension throughout the house before ending abruptly with Holly’s eviction. Attention soon shifted to Coco and Bruce, whose on-again, off-again flirtation quickly evolved into a full-fledged romance.

Big Brother 2025 Finale Recap

By Monday night’s Grand Finale, only Allana, Bruce, Coco, Colin, and Emily were left in the running. But before the winner was announced, host Mel Tracina threw a surprising curveball: she gave the housemates the option to forfeit their chance at the $135,000 grand prize in exchange for a brand-new Suzuki Jimny.

Allana and Bruce took the bait, stepping up to play a high-stakes game of chance. Allana lifted the right dome, securing the $40,000 car, and was immediately evicted, leaving the remaining housemates to fight it out for the grand prize.

As it turns out, Bruce’s hunch to vie for the car was right, with host Mel Tracina announcing soon after he would be the second finalist to leave the house. The third evictee came came as a surprise to some fans as Colin’s name was read out, leaving just Coco and Emily as the final two before the winner was announced.

The post Who Has Been Evicted From ‘Big Brother’ Australia 2025 (So Far)? appeared first on marie claire.

Sunday night’s episode of Big Brother Australia shocked fans with the brutal eviction of Edward, revealed through a heart-wrenching letter from Big Brother himself.

While the letter started with comforting words, it turned devastating when Ed’s eviction was announced in the past tense. Fans quickly compared it to Vinnie’s surprise Christmas carol eviction, calling this one even harsher.

And it all comes as the show returns to its roots. After years of reinvention, Big Brother Australia has finally found its way home. The long-running reality juggernaut is back at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, and back on Channel 10, the network where it first became a cultural phenomenon.

On November 9, 12 new housemates crossed the threshold to take on the infamous social experiment and compete for the $100,000 prize, with a 13th contestant, Jane, making a surprise entrance a few days later.

From the very beginning, this season’s cast revealed a sharp clash of values and ideologies. Within days, viewers were treated to heated conversations about traditional gender roles, political differences and beauty standards, a reminder of why the show once held such a powerful mirror to Australian culture.

Who Has Been Evicted From Big Brother Australia 2025?

Below, we’re tracking every housemate who has been evicted so far. Check back each week as we continue updating the list — because in the house this season, no one is safe. Big Brother continues 7:30pm Monday on Channel 10.

Big brother evicted

Edward

Sales Manager, 30, SA

After days of speculation, it was revealed that Edward Doak had been eliminated from the house, but the twist came with how the news was delivered. During the usual “letter from home” segment, each housemate read emotional letters from their families.

Ed’s letter, however, took a dark turn when it shifted to past tense, revealing he’d already been evicted due to Australia’s votes. The kicker? The letter was from Big Brother himself, not Ed’s family, leaving him in tears over his own elimination.

Fans quickly took to social media, calling the moment crueler than Vinnie’s Christmas carol eviction the previous week.

What began as a playful late-night carolling task quickly spiralled into one of the most talked-about moments of the 2025 reboot, leaving both housemates and viewers stunned as the finale looms just days away.

Housemates were abruptly woken by bells echoing through the Dreamworld house and instructed to race to a makeshift concert stage in festive outfits every time the chime rang. Their task: repeatedly perform Jingle Bells as part of the weekly shopping challenge.

Unbeknownst to them, a far more serious game was unfolding behind the scenes.

Following a tense round of live nominations, Vinnie, Coco and Emily were placed on the chopping block, while Head of House Colin used his save on Allana. Host Mel Tracina then revealed the sting in the tail: voting would only remain open for a few hours, with a snap eviction to follow before sunrise.

Compounding Vinnie’s danger, Edward had earlier unleashed a 10-point “gift” during nominations that landed a crushing 16 points squarely on his shoulders.

As the exhausted housemates launched into yet another round of Jingle Bells, Big Brother rewrote the final verse mid-performance. The lyrics abruptly announced that voting had closed — and that Vinnie was the housemate Australia had chosen to evict.

He was given just 30 seconds to say his goodbyes before exiting the house, still dressed in Christmas gear.

Singer/Musician, 24, VIC

For a fleeting stretch of the season, Abiola felt like the emotional anchor of the Big Brother Australia house. Soft-spoken yet sharp, she won viewers over instantly after introducing herself as a “fat, Black lesbian” on night one.

So when she quietly disappeared from the livestream last week, fans grew suspicious. A missing bed and an offhand remark from a housemate confirmed it: Abiola had taken a $15,000 Christmas cash-out and exited on Day 20. A smart move, but a genuine loss for the season.

Holly

Model, 31, WA

Although neither Holly nor Conor was initially up for eviction, both were suddenly pushed into danger after Allana used her save to protect Abiola, reshaping the week’s nominations at the last minute. Ultimately, it was Holly who was sent home, closing the door on one of the season’s most memorable runs.

Holly became known for her forthright opinions and her highly scrutinised relationship with fellow housemate Colin. Their on-again, off-again connection captivated both viewers and housemates alike, but the constant attention and frequent PDA gradually often irked the household.

Speaking with host Mel Tracina following her departure, Holly reflected on her experience with characteristic honesty. “It’s been one hell of a ride. I honestly didn’t think I was going to make it to the finals, so I’m just proud I made it this far,” she said.

“It’s truly been an unforgettable experience. It was a lot harder than I anticipated, but something very, very special has come out of it,” she added, referencing her relationship with Colin.

Before leaving, Holly revealed she had written Colin a final farewell letter in lip liner. “I’m wishing him all the very best. He needs to fly the flag,” she said.

As for how Colin will cope without Holly in the house, that remains to be seen. One thing is certain: he will now have to learn how to stand on his own.

Jane

Retired, 67, VIC

Up for elimination again this week was Jane, the retired Victorian grandmother who topped the tally with 14 nomination points in the second round of this season’s evictions.

Speaking to host Mel Tracina after her eviction, Jane admitted the pressure had been building.

“It was hard because every day in the house I’d been nominated, it’s been really quite difficult. Today was just, ‘Oh, the emotions.’”

Still, she managed to find the silver lining. With her granddaughter’s kindergarten graduation happening on Friday, Jane said she was thrilled to be heading home.

“She will be so excited that I will be at her graduation.”

It caps off a tense week for Jane, who found herself clashing with several housemates after feeling “disrespected” in the house.

Big brother evicted housemates

Mia

Bunnings Shop Assistant, 23, VIC

Meanwhile, the second evictee of the night, Mia, had her own awkward subplot play out this week.

Mia, who revealed on the show that she’s a virgin, had been quietly crushing on Edward, the 30-year-old South Australian sales manager. Despite Vinnie gently warning her that Ed hadn’t shown much interest, she’d been smitten since day one. But things quickly unravelled when Mia staged a fake phone call to her sister for no obvious reason — a moment that instantly gave Ed the ick and more or less ended any chance of a spark.

“If we’re talking about dating scenes, that’s gotta go,” Ed said afterwards. “I’m saying it’s bonkers.”

Still, Mia pushed through, pulling Ed aside to tell him how she really felt.

“I think from the start I have felt a strong attraction to you and had feelings for you, and I’ve been honest with pretty much everyone except you,” she admitted — only to be gently, but firmly, turned down. Ed told her that her confession “struck a chord,” adding that her behaviour didn’t align with the kind of person he saw himself dating.

On eviction night, Big Brother announced that one lucky fan would be given the power to decide whether Allana or Mia should be the next to leave the house. The caller cast their vote, and ultimately sent Mia packing.

Michael

Publisher, 49, NSW

Michael all but predicted his own eviction (the first of the season) before the results were revealed, telling host Mel Tracina that he expected his time in the house to end. He framed it as a numbers game, convinced the younger voting audience wouldn’t favour him in the public save system.

He was also the only nominee who remained entirely unapologetic about his behaviour. Rather than softening his approach, he doubled down on the antagonism that had defined his week, openly encouraging viewers to keep him in so he could continue stirring tension among the housemates.

After his exit was confirmed, Michael told Tracina he was looking forward to catching up on his emails and then seeing his children — in that order, much to the amusement of the live audience.

Seemingly overnight a new TV show has not just captured the short attention span of netizens everywhere, but held it in a vice grip. Heated Rivalry is a steamy, queer ice hockey romance adapted from the book of the same name by bestselling author Rachel Reid.

Created, written, and directed by Jacob Tierney – of Letterkenny and Shoresy fame – the show centres on the years-long, simmering rivalry between two professional ice hockey stars, Asian-Canadian star Shane Hollander and Russian phenom Ilya Rozanov.

Anyone familiar with the growing cult that is romance literature and BookTok (I myself am an active member) will be familiar with the popularity of sports-based romance novels and the lure ice hockey in particular has over readers. IYKYK.

For the uninitiated, one watch of Heated Rivalry will have you signing up to join our club. Welcome.

Where To Watch Heated Rivalry In Australia

Initially, Heated Rivalry was only set for release in Canadia, on local streaming service, Crave. Naturally, this decision saw outrage and outcry from fans online which led to a last-minute pickup of the series internationally.

In Australia, Heated Rivalry is available to stream on HBO Max. New episodes of the six-part series drop weekly, landing on Australian screens every Saturday. See the full release schedule of when new episodes come out, below.

What Is Heated Rivalry About?

At its core, Heated Rivalry is an enemies-to-lovers, rivals-to-romance story between Shane, the clean-cut, golden-boy of ice hockey and Ilya, the sharp-tongued ego-heavy Russian.

It’s the second novel in an interconnected collection of queer hockey romances that each follow different players in and around the NHL. Like many interconnected romance series, every book works as a standalone, characters reappear throughout the series, and the emotional arcs build a shared universe.

Jenny Han Just Revealed An Exciting Update On ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Movie Release https://www.marieclaire.com.au/life/entertainment/the-summer-i-turned-pretty-movie-news/ Thu, 04 Dec 2025 23:39:46 +0000 https://www.marieclaire.com.au/?p=1499669 We may have to wait a little longer

The post Jenny Han Just Revealed An Exciting Update On ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Movie Release appeared first on marie claire.

]]>

The Summer I Turned Pretty fans, rejoice! We’ve just received a major update on when Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah will finally be back on our screens.

Jenny Han, creator of The Summer I Turned Pretty, recently shared an update on the long-awaited movie adaptation, revealing that while she’s made significant progress on the script, it won’t be arriving as soon as many fans had hoped.

“I just wrote it,” Han said during TheWrap’s 2025 Power Women Summit, “we haven’t filmed anything yet.”

While Han has been busy shaping the story, she made it clear that the movie won’t hit screens this Christmas, as fans initially speculated. “I know everyone was hoping it would come out this Christmas,” she explained, “but unfortunately, that’s not happening. It’s not possible.”

Han noted that post-production for Season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty wrapped up only a month before the season’s July premiere, leaving her with little time to dive into the film. “The show came out in July,” she said. “It was really down to the wire with the show, and we wouldn’t have had time to shoot the whole movie.”

As for what the movie will bring to the table, fans can expect some major developments for the beloved characters of Belly (Lola Tung), Conrad (Christopher Briney), and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). Han previously hinted that a significant milestone is coming for Belly’s journey.

“There’s another big milestone for Belly,” Han teased during a Today appearance in September. “So we’ll continue that journey.”

However, don’t expect too many spoilers from Han. Even the stars of the series don’t know all the details yet.

“I’m sure Jenny has a great—she apparently has a first draft,” Lola Tung told Deadline in a joint interview with Chris Briney back in September. “So hopefully, maybe soon we’ll find out.”

Briney, for his part, joked, “Thank God I’m not in the writer’s room, because I would write in some dumb s–t,” with Lola quipping, “He wants Conrad on the moon. In space.”

Although it’s clear that Han is still working through the project, fans can rest easy knowing she’s dedicated to getting it just right. She’s also set to direct the film, marking her directorial debut after taking on the role in season 3, a transition she described as “natural” and “easy” after years of working with the cast and crew.

“I loved every single part of it,” Han said. “It’s just another extension of storytelling. I’m really excited to do the movie, too, because it’s a privilege to be the one telling the story.”

While the movie’s release might still be a bit off, Han is already thinking ahead to the future. She’s been balancing several projects, including other books, movies, and shows, and although she’d love to return to writing, she admitted that the demands of show-running have left her little time to sit down and focus on new novels.

For now, fans will just have to hold tight and wait for more details as Han continues to work her magic behind the scenes, bringing new chapters of The Summer I Turned Pretty to life in ways they haven’t yet imagined.

It’s Official: Euphoria Season 3 Has A Premiere Date For 2026 https://www.marieclaire.com.au/life/entertainment/euphoria-season-3-premiere-date/ Thu, 04 Dec 2025 02:39:22 +0000 https://www.marieclaire.com.au/?p=1499631 It's been a long time coming

The post It’s Official: Euphoria Season 3 Has A Premiere Date For 2026 appeared first on marie claire.

]]>

After more than four years off air, Euphoria is officially on its way back, but the road to season three has been anything but smooth.

While HBO has now confirmed the series will premiere in April 2026, its return has been repeatedly delayed by a perfect storm of industry upheavals and personal loss.

Initial reports once slated the third season for a 2025 release.

That timeline quickly became uncertain due to cast scheduling conflicts, the 2023 writers’ and actors’ strikes, and the devastating death of Angus Cloud, who played fan favourite Fezco, in July 2023.

What Will Season 3 Of Euphoria Be About?

Series creator Sam Levinson revealed early story details at an HBO Max presentation in London on Wednesday, confirming that season three will jump forward five years. He described the time shift as a natural next chapter for the characters as they move fully into adulthood.

Zendaya returns as Rue, now living in Mexico and in debt to Laurie, searching for increasingly dangerous ways to survive. Cassie and Nate, played by Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi, are engaged and living in the suburbs, with Cassie consumed by social media and fixated on the lives of her former classmates. Levinson confirmed the pair will marry, promising “an unforgettable night.”

Jules, played by Hunter Schafer, is at art school and grappling with the pressure of turning creativity into a career. Maddy is working at a Hollywood talent agency while juggling side hustles. Lexi is now an assistant to a powerful showrunner portrayed by Sharon Stone.

Is The Entire Cast Of Euphoria Returning?

Most of the core cast is returning, including Zendaya, Schafer, Elordi, Sweeney, Eric Dane, Colman Domingo, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Dominic Fike, Chloe Cherry, Nika King, Martha Kelly and Alanna Ubach. New additions include Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth and Marshawn Lynch.

Several familiar faces will not appear in season three. Storm Reid previously confirmed her character Gia will be absent, while Barbie Ferreira exited the series in 2022. Austin Abrams and Algee Smith also do not appear on the confirmed cast list.

Where To Watch Euphoria Season 3 In Australia?

Seasons one and two of Euphoria are currently available to stream on HBO Max in Australia.

The series was previously hosted on Binge before the platform lost the rights following HBO’s local launch in March, which shifted the show to its own streaming service.

Since its debut in 2019, Euphoria has become one of HBO’s defining cultural phenomena, launching the careers of its young cast and cementing itself as one of the network’s most watched series of all time.

You Probably Missed Spotify Wrapped’s Coolest New Feature https://www.marieclaire.com.au/life/entertainment/spotify-wrapped-2025-listening-age-leaderboard/ Wed, 03 Dec 2025 23:04:07 +0000 https://www.marieclaire.com.au/?p=1499589 Your guide to everything new this year

The post You Probably Missed Spotify Wrapped’s Coolest New Feature appeared first on marie claire.

]]>

For all who celebrate (sorry Apple Music loyalists), Spotify Wrapped marks one of the most wonderful days of the year. With every annual Wrapped comes a slew of exciting new features and this year is no exception.

“There was some feedback on things that people wanted back. but I think where the focus will be is on the new features,” Head of Music at Spotify Australia and New Zealand, Ben Watts tells us.

The first of which, Watts points out is this year’s inclusion of Audiobook data, and given the astronomical rise of BookTok, we know it will be a welcomed addition. The top results say it all, really (ahem, Fourth Wing).

The most thrilling new addition is Spotify’s Fan Leaderboard, but there’s a catch…

Spotify Wrapped 2025 Leaderboard

If we’re being truly honest with ourselves, part of sharing your Spotify Wrapped each year is to claim bragging rights by making it into your favourite artist’s top percentile of listeners. Well, Spotify is turning it up to eleven this year by not only giving you a percentage but a finite ranking order. That’s right, a lucky few around the world will be able to claim they’re someone’s literal, number one fan.

“I think in terms of those huge fandoms around particular artists, there’s gonna be so much competition.”

If you ask us, this is one of the most exciting new features to come from the platform. It does come with an asterisk, however, as only those truly dedicated fans who make it into an artist’s top listeners will likely have access to the feature.

How Does Spotify Determine Your Listening Age?

According to Spotify, “your Listening Age is based on the idea of a “reminiscence bump,” which is the tendency to feel most connected to the music from your younger years.”

Then, they use the below factors to work some mathematical magic…

 • “First, we look at the release dates of all of the songs you played this year.
 • Next, we identify the five-year span of music that you engaged with more than other listeners your age.
 • We’re hypothesizing that this five-year span matches your “reminiscence bump,” assuming you were between 16 and 21 years old when those tracks were released.”

Top Artists Guessing Game

“This year you get five [top artists] and before it tells you what it is, you get to guess what you think your favorite artist will be. So there’s that kind of gamification of it.”

But that’s not all, the platform also maps how your favourite artists fared against one another over the year, like battle of the bands for the streaming generation.

The feature looks at your top five artists and who was big at the start of the year. It’s kind of mapped as a race of your top artists, then who is the artist that kind of ends up being the top of your profile at the end of the year.”

What Are Spotify Wrapped Clubs?

Music is all about bringing people together and this year Spotify really said, ‘Welcome to the club.’

Spotify Wrapped clubs will group listeners together based on similar patterns and tastes, so you can find your musical soul mates.

“In the experience it will tell you what club you’re in and they are based on kind of the way you listen and the type of music you listen to.

Users will then be “put in a club and given a role in that club based on your behavior.”

Your Top 100 Playlist

Been meaning to make a playlist with all your top-played songs? Well, Spoitfy has you covered this year wrapping your top hits up for you.

“In terms of top songs, it gives you a playlist of your top 100 songs of the year, which is quite epic, but also it gives you the play count on all of those,” Watts tells us, before pointing out it could go two ways: “invigorating or quite embarrassing.”

It’s the most wonderful time of the year (for music and meme lovers, at least) with Spotify Wrapped 2025 finally dropping. The music platform had us waiting with baited breath, choosing to launch the beloved annual round up on the same day as last year, December 4th.

Bad Bunny topped Spotify’s global charts in 2025, re-claiming the title of most-streamed artist worldwide after previously leading in 2020, 2021, and 2022. He also scored the year’s Global Top Album with DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars earned Top Song of the Year for their runaway hit “Die With A Smile.”

In Australia, it was a slightly different story with most-streamed artists going to Taylor Swift. See our full breakdown of the Spotify Wrapped 2025 results.

If you’re ready to join the masses in sharing your Wrapped on socials, here’s how to access the feature.

Where To Find Your Spotify Wrapped 2025

There’s no special access codes or neat trick to accessing your Spotify Wrapped for 2025, you simply need to open the platform either on the app or your web browser.

“Just open your app,” Ben Watts, Head of Music at Spotify Australia and New Zealand, tells us, “you can’t miss it.”

Every new feature launched under Wrapped this year, including the exciting new fan leaderboard and top artist race, will be available when you click through to your Wrapped experience.

If you close your Wrapped pop up and are looking to find it again, there should be a ‘Wrapped’ tab at the top of your app. See image guide below. how to find spotify wrapped

Spotify Wrapped 2025 Not Working? Try This

If for some reason you are having issues accessing Spotify Wrapped, the team recommend you “close the app, open it again and it will be there.”

Prior to Wrapped launching, Spotify also told users to make sure their app was updated to ensure everything runs smoothly.

“Are you #SpotifyWrapped ready? Make sure to update your app today. Wrapped is on the way soon!” the post read.

In the iconic words so ethereally trilled by Mariah Carey, ‘It’s tiiiiiiiiime!’ No, not Christmas, but just as exciting if not more, Spotify Wrapped 2025 is finally here.

Prepare for your feeds to be overrun with everyone from your friends to co-workers and even maybe grandma sharing their most-listened tunes for the year.

“It’s a very personal experience, but on the other hand, it’s this truly global thing that everyone’s involved in and really excited to share – or completely embarrassed to share – what their wrapped is,” Ben Watts, Head of Music at Spotify Australia and New Zealand, tells marie claire of what makes Wrapped so viral.

Only adding to the social media tidal wave of Spotify green is the slew of impressive new features the platform has added this year. There’s the leaderboard which goes beyond the top percentile of listeners you fall into for your favourite band, to give you a finite number ranking and the guessing game for your top five artists prior to their reveal.

Of course, half the fun of Spotify Wrapped day is comparing your stats with friends, family and netizens alike. So, here’s how the rest of Australian Spotify listeners fared.

When Does Spotify Start & Stop Tracking For Wrapped 2025?

Wondering when the cut-off for your Spotify Wrapped 2025 data was? According to Spotify HQ in our exclusive chat, this year’s data tracking ranged from January to Mid-November.

“You can imagine the amount of data that needs to be processed to get this right,” Head of Music at Spotify, Ben Watts tells us, “We make that data as late as possible because we want the listening data to be as current as possible, but it’s so important to have that integrity of getting it right. So, that’s why it’s mid-November.”

Spotify Wrapped 2025 Top Albums, Songs & Artists

Despite the release of her twelfth studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, this year, it wasn’t Taylor Swift sitting in the top spot for most streamed artist globally. Instead, it was Bad Bunny who reclaimed the title after holding onto the position in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

The Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and producer also claimed Top Album of 2025, globally for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.

As for the Top Song, that title went to Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars’ hit ‘Die With A Smile’.

People We Meet On Vacation is the first in a slew (five currently confirmed, to be exact) Emily Henry adaptations coming to our screens and we now have our first look at the highly-anticipated film in a new trailer.

On the first watch (of many) it’s safe to say that the chemistry between our two leads, Poppy (played by Emily Bader) and Alex (played by Tom Blyth) is seriously sizzling.

Moreover, the backdrops for the film – a vision of dreaming holiday destinations – serves as the perfect summer holiday watch. Then, there’s the stacked supporting cast including Lukas Gage, Lucien Laviscount, Jameela Jamil, Alan Ruck, Alice Lee, Sarah Catherine Hook and Molly Shannon.

Watch the People We Meet On Vacation trailer below.

For those yet to dive into Henry’s catalogue, People We Meet On Vacation is her second adult romance (following her stint publishing a number of YA books) and was first released in 2021.

The novel follows travel journalist, Poppy, and her best-friend, Alex, as they reconnect after two years apart to reignite their yearly tradition of a summer trip.

As the story unfolds, the truth about what first drove the friends apart slowly unravels – along with the fragile thread still holding their friendship together.

The official synopsis reads: “Free-spirited Poppy and routine-loving Alex have been unlikely best friends for a decade, living in different cities but spending every summer vacation together. The careful balance of their friendship is put to the test when they begin to question what has been obvious to everyone else — could they actually be the perfect romantic match?
