In the iconic words so ethereally trilled by Mariah Carey, ‘It’s tiiiiiiiiime!’ No, not Christmas, but just as exciting if not more, Spotify Wrapped 2025 is finally here.
Prepare for your feeds to be overrun with everyone from your friends to co-workers and even maybe grandma sharing their most-listened tunes for the year.
“It’s a very personal experience, but on the other hand, it’s this truly global thing that everyone’s involved in and really excited to share – or completely embarrassed to share – what their wrapped is,” Ben Watts, Head of Music at Spotify Australia and New Zealand, tells marie claire of what makes Wrapped so viral.
Only adding to the social media tidal wave of Spotify green is the slew of impressive new features the platform has added this year. There’s the leaderboard which goes beyond the top percentile of listeners you fall into for your favourite band, to give you a finite number ranking and the guessing game for your top five artists prior to their reveal.
Of course, half the fun of Spotify Wrapped day is comparing your stats with friends, family and netizens alike. So, here’s how the rest of Australian Spotify listeners fared.
Wondering when the cut-off for your Spotify Wrapped 2025 data was? According to Spotify HQ in our exclusive chat, this year’s data tracking ranged from January to Mid-November.
“You can imagine the amount of data that needs to be processed to get this right,” Head of Music at Spotify, Ben Watts tells us, “We make that data as late as possible because we want the listening data to be as current as possible, but it’s so important to have that integrity of getting it right. So, that’s why it’s mid-November.”

The Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and producer also claimed Top Album of 2025, globally for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.
As for the Top Song, that title went to Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars’ hit ‘Die With A Smile’.
