From We Were Liars to The Summer I Turned Pretty, 2025 has been the year of the teen TV shows and we’re happily rounding it out with Maxton Hall.
The German book adaptation, based on the Save Me trilogy, has just wrapped its sophomore season with a drama-filled finale airing on November 28.

In the final episode, Ruby’s life is in turmoil once again thanks to the vile scheming of James’ father, Mortimer Beaufort. What is a rich, grown man doing ruining the life of a teenage girl anyway? We don’t know, but it makes for compelling TV.
Mr Sutton’s affair was finally exposed, only for — shock twist — Ruby to be implicated with the teacher rather than Lydia. As the season wraps, Ruby is suspended from Maxton Hall and her hopes of attending Oxford dashed. As for Mr. Sutton, he’s dragged away in handcuffs.
Naturally, it left fans reeling and wondering how long we must wait to get a season three of Maxton Hall.
Will There Be A Season Three Of Maxton Hall?
The good news is Maxton Hall season three has already been confirmed. Sitting down with the show’s lead, Damian Hardung, following the announcement the actor who plays James joked about continuing to play a teenager in his 20s.
“Who would’ve thought that I could still go to school at 26? I could play a teacher, I guess,” he jokes to marie claire Australia.
“Honestly, teenage years are pretty cool. So, I feel like it’s kind of just a gift to be able to go back and re-experience those years where emotions feel raw in a sense.”
As for season three, he added: “I’m really eager about doing season three and about doing justice to these books. It’s always been a trilogy and just to wrap it up beautifully just feels like a present.”
When Will Maxton Hall Season Three Be Released?
While the third instalment of Maxton Hall has been confirmed, a set date for the show’s release is yet to be confirmed.
Given seasons one and two were released in 2024 and 2025, fans could be forgiven for hoping for a 2026 season three release. We’ll have to wait and see.
