After weeks of gruelling rehearsals, dazzling choreography and sequins galore, Dancing With The Stars is finally heading into its season 34 finale.

This year’s competition has been especially exciting for Australian viewers, with our very own Robert Irwin dancing his way to the finale alongside partner Witney Carson.

According to ABC, the supersized live event will unfold across three competitive rounds: Judges’ Choice, Instant Dance and the always-anticipated Freestyle.

In the Judges’ Choice round, Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli will mentor each remaining couple through a brand-new ballroom or Latin routine. The pairings and their songs are set:

  • Alix & Val: Samba to “Hip Hip Chin Chin” by Club des Belugas
  • Robert & Witney: Quickstep to “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” by Jet
  • Dylan & Daniella: Paso Doble to “Stampede” by Alexander Jean feat. Lindsey Stirling
  • Elaine & Alan: Rumba to “Take My Breath Away” by Jae Hall
  • Jordan Chiles & Ezra Sosa: Paso Doble to “Breakin’ Dishes” by Rihanna

Next comes the Instant Dance Challenge, where the couples will learn both their song and dance style mere minutes before hitting the floor.

The night then builds to the Freestyle, a no-rules, go-big-or-go-home round designed to showcase each couple at their peak. Performances include:

  • Alix & Val: “Maneater” by Nelly Furtado and “Sports Car” by Tate McRae
  • Robert & Witney: “Black & Gold” by Sam Sparro and “The Nights” by Avicii
  • Dylan & Daniella: “Something In The Heavens” by Lewis Capaldi
  • Elaine & Alan: “I Hope I Get It” from A Chorus Line by District 78
  • Jordan & Ezra: “Motivation” by Normani

The finale will also showcase a packed slate of non-competitive performances. All 14 season couples will return for group numbers set to “Sugar on My Tongue” by Tyler, The Creator, “Applause” by Lady Gaga, and “I Don’t Dance” by Alexander Jean.

Rounding out the night, reigning champions Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson from season 33 will perform a special number to “Tanguera” by Fabio Hager Sexteto.

Where & When To Watch US Dancing With The Stars In Australia

The DWTS finale airs in the US on Tuesday, 25 November at 8 pm (EST), which corresponds to Wednesday, 26 November at 12 pm in Australia (AEDT).

Unfortunately, the finale isn’t officially available to stream in Australia just yet. Unlike the local edition on Channel 7, the US season is exclusive to Hulu and Disney+ in America, and hasn’t been added to the Australian Disney+ library just yet.

For die-hard fans, the only current workaround is connecting to a US server with a VPN.

Given the show’s huge following, and Aussie icon Robert Irwin’s standout run, here’s hoping Disney brings it to the Australian platform soon.
