Happy Halloween to all who celebrate. For most of us mere mortals, the day involves scary movie marathons, pumpkin carving, and a frantic last-minute attempt to assemble a half-decent costume. But for celebrities, the stakes are far higher. Halloween in Hollywood is no casual affair—it’s a full-blown creative competition.
Every October, the famous trade red carpets for themed soirées, eager to outdo one another in both imagination and extravagance. This year, the celebrations began weeks in advance, with everyone from Kim Kardashian to Chlöe Bailey unveiling meticulously crafted looks that turn fancy dress into performance art.
Of course, Halloween doesn’t officially start until Heidi Klum says so. The supermodel’s annual Heidiween bash once again proved the main event, with Klum teasing glimpses of her look on Instagram throughout the day before finally slithering onto the red carpet as a spectacular Medusa.
Other standout costumes included Demi Lovato channelling her own viral alter ego Poot Lovato, Camila Mendes as a regal Queen of Hearts, and Hailey and Justin Bieber suiting up as The Incredibles, with son Jack adorably dressed as baby Jack-Jack.
Here, we’ve rounded up our favourite Halloween looks of 2025 — and we’re keeping an eye out for any last-minute ghoulish surprises.
Best Celebrity Halloween Costumes Of 2025
Heidi Klum
As Medusa
The queen of Halloween delivered all the stops this year, slithering onto the red carpet at New York’s Hard Rock Hotel dressed as Medusa. The nine-hour transformation featured moving mechanical snakes and a custom split tongue, cementing Klum’s reputation as Hollywood’s ultimate Halloween queen.
Demi Lovato
As Poot Lovato
Demi Lovato dressed as her long-lost twin, Poot Lovato, this Halloween. For the uninitiated, Poot was born in 2015 after a fan posted a distorted photo of the singer on Tumblr, joking that it was her secret twin who’d been “locked in a basement.”
After years of distancing herself from the internet legend, Demi resurrected her infamous alter ego, officially reuniting with Poot for Halloween.
The Biebers
As The Incredibles
Justin and Hailey Bieber celebrated Halloween with son Jack, dressing as The Incredibles in matching red-and-black superhero suits and masks.
Elsa Hosk
As Tina Carlyle, The Mask
Elsa Hosk channelled ultimate ’90s icon Cameron Diaz from her breakout 1994 film The Mask, dressing as Tina Carlyle — the blonde bombshell heroine who stars opposite Jim Carrey’s Stanley Ipkiss.
Sabrina Carpenter
As Wonder Woman
Sabrina delivered multiple iconic looks for her ‘Short n’ Spooky’ concert at Madison Square Garden, but her Wonder Woman costume was our personal favourite.
Ed Sheeran
As Pennywise
Ed was clowning around New York City on Halloween, dressed as the terrifying red-haired clown from Stephen King’s It.
Taylor & Taylor Lautner
As Dale and Brennan from Step Brothers
The Taylors went all in this year, dressing as the iconic Step Brothers duo, Dale and Brennan, and fully committing to the bit with a series of lip-sync videos posted online.
Ciara
As Michael Jackson
The singer paid tribute to the King of Pop, recreating his iconic Remember the Time music video look.
Camila Mendes & Madelaine Petsch
As The Queen of Hearts & The Mad Hatter
One of our favourite Halloween duos channelled Alice in Wonderland with whimsical, storybook-inspired costumes. While we were hoping Lili Reinhart would join them as Alice, given their tradition of dressing up in threes, she sadly didn’t make an appearance.
We did, however, get a TikTok of her dressed as The Dude from The Big Lebowski, which almost makes up for it.
Winnie Harlow
As Neapolitan Ice Cream
Posting her delicious look to Instagram, Winnie teased in the caption, “Since y’all always say I look like a scoop of Neapolitan Ice Cream 🍨🍓🍫👀I guess you’re right 😋”
Chloe Bailey
As Foxxy Cleopatra
Chloe dressed up as Foxxy Cleopatra from Austin Powers in Goldmember.
Paris Hilton
As Britney Spears
Paris channelled Britney Spears for the third year in a row, this time she emulated the pop icon from her Oops!…I Did It Again music video.
Janelle Monáe
As Beetlejuice
Janelle Monáe, a devoted Halloween enthusiast, has already delivered multiple standout looks this October. Our favourite? A strikingly realistic Beetlejuice costume that borders on uncanny.
Knowing their flair for the dramatic, we can expect an even more elaborate, prosthetic-heavy transformation before the week is out.
Bette Midler & Andy Cohen
As Miss M & Andy Warhol
Bette Midler, the original Hocus Pocus queen, kicked off spooky season with her annual New York Restoration Project Hulaween bash, themed “New York, New York: A Helluva Town.”
She arrived dressed as her younger self from her debut album Divine Miss M, while Andy Cohen joined her as Andy Warhol.
Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner & North West
As Jay Guapõ, Pink Cardigan & Chrissy G
If Kim’s costume has you stumped, you’re not alone. She’s dressed as TikTok creator Jay Guapõ, with North and Kris as his collaborators Pink Cardigan and Chrissy G.
Ben Platt & Noah Galvin
As Hugh Hefner & a Playboy bunny
The couple dressed up as Hugh Hefner and a Playboy bunny.
Victoria Justice
As a love zombie
After dropping her new single Love Zombie, Victoria Justice leaned into the theme, hosting a Halloween party and showing up as the chicest zombie in town.
