Who Are The New Bridgerton Season 4 Cast Members?

With the announcement of production beginning on season four, Netflix has also confirmed a few new names joining the cast.

Katie Leung joins the cast as Lady Araminta Gun, a “fabulous discerning and blunt” mother of two girls who is “feeling the pressure to get at least one of them married off.”

Playing Rosamund Li, the “beautiful, vain and ager to please her mother” newcomer who “sets her sights on Benedict Bridgerton this season and is determined to get what she wants”, is Michelle Mao.

Joining Rosamund is younger sister, Posy Li, played by Isabella Wei, who is described as having a “chatty, overly friendly demeanor” that “often has her putting her foot in her mouth.”

A relative newcomer, Yerin received her big break in the Paramount+ series Halo. She previously appeared in Australian limited series Bad Behaviour, for which she received a Logie nomination.

Which Bridgerton Cast Members Will Return For Season 4?

Praise be, Lord Anthony Bridgerton will return the to the Ton. Actor Jonathan Bailey confirmed he will be in the fourth season of Bridgerton, telling Good Morning America that he has “a couple of weeks etched out in my schedule for returning.”

Bailey also hinted at the role his character will serve, suggesting he would provide precious counsel for his brother, Benedict, as he navigates love.

“The thing about Bridgerton, which is so brilliant, is that there’s so many different ways you can fall in love as humans and that’s what this show will explore. Obviously being the older brother, I’m going to be there to support the youngsters as we go,” he said.

There’s no Anthony without Kate, so it’s unsurprising to learn Simone Ashley is also returning. “I know that I am returning, but that’s all I can say,” she said in an interview with Glamour U.K.

As for the rest, we know that season four will be Benedict’s time to shine, meaning Luke Thompson will certainly be back on the ticket. For those who have read the books and know Francesca Bridgerton’s upcoming storyline might also assume Hannah Dodd will return to see her character through the twists and turns of her next chapter.

Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte) and Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton) will return as confirmed by Netflix. So too are the younger Bridgerton children—Florence Hunt (Hyacinth Bridgerton) and Will Tilston (Gregory Bridgerton) — who are yet to have their dedicated season. This means we can also gladly expect more of the delightful Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton).

But what of Cressida Cowper (Jessica Madsen)? News of her return remains to be seen. At the end of season three, Cressida was sent off to the Welsh countryside by her parents after failing to find a match on the marriage mart. While the door remains open to a return down the line, it’s unlikely we’ll see her character next season.

Will Julie Andrews Still Be Lady Whistledown In Bridgerton Season 4?

So, what of Julie Andrews, who has held the role of our elegant narrator, aka Lady Whistledown, thus far? In the season three finale, Penelope finally reveals to the ‘Ton that she has been leading a double life. After her revelation we head Andrews’ voice sign off, saying, “And with the retirement of my literary persona, I would like to formally introduce myself: previous wallflower, current columnist, observer, wielder of quill, nobody unique, and yet I have my moments.”

The next sentence begins, “And hopefully dear reader…,” and Nicola Coughlan as Penelope takes over the narration. She concludes: “You will stay on to enjoy them with me as we begin this next part of our journey. Yours truly, Penelope Bridgerton.”
