When news broke that Taylor Swift would be making a major announcement during her Good Morning America interview on October 13th, many fans echoed the same thought: we’re getting an Eras Tour documentary.
And, they were right.
It’s long been speculated that the record-breaking tour from the ‘Bad Blood’ singer would become the subject of a film or television documentary. And, Taylor chose her GMA appearance to finally confirm the whispers, calling the upcoming project the perfect way to “close the book” on that chapter of her career as she moves into her Showgirl era.
During her Good Morning America appearance, Taylor Swift made two major announcements that sent fans into a frenzy. The pop superstar revealed a six-episode docuseries titled Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era along with a brand-new concert film, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show, capturing the last stop of her record-breaking tour in Vancouver.
“It was the End of an Era and we knew it,” Swift said, explaining that she allowed filmmakers “to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down.”
Reflecting on the tour’s success, she added, “We have broken every single record you can break with this tour. The only thing left … is to close the book.”
The upcoming projects promise fans an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the making and meaning of the Eras Tour, which will likely be littered with more Easter eggs.

The new six-episode docuseries Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era is set to premiere in Australia via Disney+ on December 12, 2025.
Simultaneously, a concert film titled Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show will also debut, presenting the full final performance from the Eras Tour in Vancouver, including the newly added Tortured Poets Department act.
The concert film, on the other hand, delivers a full, unabridged concert experience — capturing the spectacle, performances, and audience energy of the final show.
