In a statement shared exclusively with Variety, 50 Cent, and director Alexandria Stapleton spoke about the complex nature of the case. “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far,”

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives. While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”

What Is The 50 Cent Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Documentary About?

When 50 Cent first announced the documentary in December 2023, Combs was facing a total of four civil suits, including the first filed by Cassie Ventura.

Since then, Combs has been arrested and charged before facing court in July this year, where he was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and not guilty on the charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

“He is a serial abuser and a serial obstructer,” Assistant ADA Emily Johnson said during the hearing.

It looks like the docuseries will go beyond the headlines and seek to uncover the full extent of Sean Combs’ disturbing story that unravelled before the world.

The documentary was produced by Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson and his G-Unit Film and Television production company.

In a statement released by the G-Unit Film & Television, the representative said: “The untitled ‘Diddy’ documentary is in development through G-Unit Film and Television with Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson serving as Executive Producer, proceeds from this documentary that G-Unit Film & Television receives will go to victims of sexual assault and rape.”

In the first and only trailer for the doco, we hear a voice over say: “You can’t continue to keep hurting people and nothing ever happens, it’s just a matter of time.” See the clip below.
