Jennifer Lawrence Admits She’s Been Rage-Baiting On A Secret TikTok Account

She loves a debate

Jennifer Lawrence has revealed an unexpected pastime between film sets and red carpets: debating strangers online.

While promoting her new film Die, My Love, the Oscar winner shared that she has a secret online presence that’s more combative than curated. “I get in fights on TikTok,” she confessed to her co-star Robert Pattinson during a Fandango interview. “I get in fights in the comment section.”

It began, she explained, as harmless pop culture discourse. “It started off with Real Housewives kind of, like, fights, back and forth, Kardashians, that kind of thing,” Lawrence said. “And then it got really intense when I started commenting on the Royal Family.”

When Pattinson teased that she had stumbled into an “extremely niche part of TikTok,” Lawrence laughed and admitted, “I guess I rage-bait on TikTok.”

The actress insisted her commentary was factual rather than inflammatory.

“A lot of people just did not know that the Mountbattens, Queen Elizabeth II, is married to her first cousin. It just is. That’s just a fact,” she told Pattinson, before adding that she meant no disrespect. “‘And people were thinking that I was, like, trashing them, and I’m like, ‘I’m not! This is just a fact.’ And it was also that in the 40s, it would have been normal.’”

Technically, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were related, but as third cousins.

This isn’t the first time Lawrence has shared her thoughts on the royals. Back in 2015, she compared Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s newborn son, Saint, to Princess Charlotte, who was born just months earlier.

“It was like when Princess Kate was having a princess,” she told E! at the time, adding, “I can’t wait for it to be 16 years from now, we’ll have a teenage princess. That’s just the same in America and we’ll have a little prince.”

Lawrence has also earned widespread praise and early Oscar buzz for her performance in Die, My Love, opposite Pattinson. She described her co-star as “nice, quirky and funny,” and even teased him about his approach to line memorisation, recalling that he would often forget his lines and seem surprised when she remembered hers, according to Junge VT.
