David Beckham has officially been knighted, marking a historic milestone for the footballer and style icon.
It’s a wonder it hadn’t happened sooner. With his enduring ties to the royal family and appearances at Prince William and Kate’s 2011 wedding and Prince Harry and Meghan’s 2018 nuptials, Beckham has long seemed part of the royal fold.
However, it was in 2025 that the former footballer finally received the honour in an emotional ceremony at Windsor Castle, where King Charles personally bestowed upon him the title of “Sir.”
For the occasion, Beckham donned a custom three-piece morning suit crafted by his wife, now officially Lady Victoria, who debuted her first tailored menswear design for the moment.
Cut from a deep charcoal grey British wool and mohair blend, the look was classic, understated and deeply sentimental.
Standing proudly beside him, Victoria wore a bespoke navy iteration of her beloved Bela dress, one of the label’s best-selling silhouettes and a study in her signature minimalism.

The sweet tribute arrives following the release of Victoria’s Netflix docuseries, which offers a rare glimpse inside her London atelier and personal life as she prepared for Paris Fashion Week.
Reflecting on his knighthood, Beckham said,
“To be honest, a young boy from the East End of London, born in Leytonstone and here at Windsor Castle being honoured by His Majesty the King… it’s quite a moment. This is without a doubt my proudest moment.”
He added, “I cried when I first found out, probably for a few months after as well. It’s not stress, not nerves, just emotion. It’s such a big moment for my family. It’s so special.”
Following the ceremony, David’s second eldest son, Romeo Beckham, posted a sweet image of the family (minus Brooklyn Beckham) with the caption, “No one deserves this more than you, love you so much xxx Congrats Sir Dad 😂.”
