After sending the internet into a frenzy with a sweet Instagram post, fans are eager to know more about Jennifer Aniston’s new boyfriend, Jim Curtis.

On November 2, The Morning Show star shared a black-and-white photo of herself embracing the wellness coach and author from behind. Curtis is beaming in the shot, while Aniston’s caption leaves no room for doubt about their relationship status: “Happy birthday my love. Cherished ❤️.”

Back in 2021, Aniston told People she was hoping to meet someone “not in the industry”—and it seems she’s done just that. So, who exactly is Jim Curtis?

How Old Is Jim Curtis?

Jim recently celebrated his 50th birthday, meaning he and Jen share a six-year age difference. He marked the milestone with a series of black-and-white photos, captioning them, “50 and feeling good! Birthday recap part 1. Thank you for all the wishes and love. So grateful for you my friends, family and community.”

Is Jim Curtis A Hypnotherapist?

Yes. According to his website, he has spent over two decades working in the health and wellness space, guiding people to “step into the fullest version of themselves.” Jim frequently shares motivational and self-improvement content across his social media platforms.

In August, a source told People that Curtis has helped Aniston “slow down.” The source explained that while the actress is “so used to going 100 miles an hour while balancing projects,” Curtis has encouraged her to look inward and embrace a gentler, more grounded rhythm.

Has Jim Curtis Been Married Before?

Jim was previously married to Rachel Napolitano. The couple met in 1999 and tied the knot in 2003.

According to an article in Observer, Jim was watching Howard Stern when he noticed one guest in particular. “I want to date a girl that looks like that,” he said.

The following year, he struck up a conversation with a young waitress named Rachel Napolitano, saying,

“I thought she was really smart. We talked about spirituality.”

It wasn’t until they began dating that he realised she was the same woman he’d seen on The Howard Stern Show. At the time, Jim was a 27-year-old working in sales at WebMD.com.

Does Jim Curtis Have Any Kids?

Yes, Jim has one son, who is currently a teenage, that he shares with his ex-wife, Rachel Napolitano.

How Did Jim Curtis And Jenifer Anniston Meet?

Curtis was first linked to Aniston in July 2025, after the pair were spotted looking cosy on a yacht in Mallorca. While their pairing may have surprised some, given Curtis’s relatively low public profile, sources told People that the two met through mutual friends earlier this year and quickly bonded over their shared love of mindfulness, wellness, and a similar sense of humour.

Since then, he’s supported Jen at The Morning Show season 4 premiere and joined her for a double date with Jason Bateman and Amanda Anka back in August.

What Chronic Illness Does Jim Curtis Have?

Jim now walks with the help of a cane, a result of health challenges that began when he was just 22 years old. At the time, doctors discovered lesions on his spinal cord. Speaking with Fast Company in 2018, he revealed that he experienced “all the symptoms of a spinal cord injury, including pain, headaches, muscle spasticity, and paralysis, in addition to a chronic limp.”

As noted on his website, “after years of living with a chronic, misdiagnosed illness and emotional trauma, he found a way to heal that honoured both the body and the soul.” His current work, he explains, is grounded in that journey, and in the belief that “no matter how stuck or broken you may feel, transformation is always possible.”

On Oct. 29, Jim shared a clip from an Instagram Q&A where he responded to a follower who asked, “How to find love at 42?”

“That’s a great question, same as you do at 22 and 32 but with more confidence, more experience and more authenticity,” Curtis said. “You’re not old. First love yourself and recognise that you are the perfect age.”

He added, “And that life is not over at 42. When you are 62 and 72, you will look back at 42 and wish that you were that age.”

“So start now,” he continued. “Go out, open yourself to love. Make eye contact and smile. Connect with people, and most importantly, love yourself. When you love yourself, you will magnetize more love to you.”

It seems he and Aniston crossed paths at just the right time — both ready to dive back into love.
