Sabrina Carpenter and Joe Keery have sent hearts aflutter with speculation they may be dating – and nobody wants this to be true more than me.
Earlier this month, in what’s now become a viral moment, Sabrina Carpenter “arrested” Joe Keery during her performance at the 2025 Austin City Limits Music Festival.
For the uninitiated, the ‘Espresso’ singer famously cues up her son ‘Juno’ by “arresting” a hot person in the crowd. Previously, she’s cuffed the likes of Millie Bobby Brown and Margaret Qualley but on October 4th, that person just so happened to be Stranger Things heartthrob, Joe.
The artist who musically goes by Djo, was also performing at the festival before dipping out to see Sabrina’s set for himself.
In the clip we see Sabrina say: “Joe it’s actually cuffing season, I don’t know if you know that.”
The fellow musician feigns shock at being selected from the crowd before immediately holding out his arms willing to be handcuffed.
The very cute, very flirty exchange sent the internet (me) into a tizzy of giggles hoping something more would come of it.
So, Are Joe Keery & Sabrina Carpenter Dating?
I sure hope so, but so far, nothing has been confirmed. What we do know is that Joe’s cuffing wasn’t a coincidence.
In an interview with Mix 94.7 Austin, the ‘End of Beginning’ singer revealed the moment was spurred on thanks to a few mutual friends.
When asked how the viral moment came to be, Joe replied: “we have got mutual friends. She recorded a lot of her music at Electric Lady Studios, which is where I have worked. So we have kind of like a lot of connections. So yeah, cool to see her and her show in Austin. It was fun to be part of it.”
Just one week later, in a clip shared by gossip site DeuxMoi, Carpenter was spotted attending Djo’s set for the second weekend of the ACL Music Festival.
The anonymous source to the clip told the site: “literally just walked right by me at Djo’s ACL night show. Did not make a stage appearance so she was there to see him.”
Of course, it could be nothing more than artists supporting artists. But, I’d like to think otherwise.
