Dolly Parton fans were given the scare of their lives, and Dolly’s in fact, when her sister took to Facebook this week to share a vague yet alarming update on her health.
In the post, Frieda Parton shared that was “up all night praying for my sister, Dolly,” following the news that the Country Singer had been forced to postpone her Las Vegas residency due to “health challenges”.
The post incited such alarm that Freida backtracked on her comments just hours later.
Now, Dolly has taken to Instagram to allay fans of their panic.

In true Dolly style, the singer posted a video assuring fans she was still alive and well.
“Well, today’s October the 8th and obviously, I’m here,” Dolly says in the clip.
“Before I get started, I wanted to say I know lately everybody thinks I am sick,” she continued. “Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here.”
If that wasn’t clear enough, Dolly confirmed: “I wanted you to know that I’m not dying.”
And, she has no plans to go anywhere anytime soon.
“I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me, and I ain’t done working,” she told fans.
Dolly Parton has revealed she recently suffered with a kidney stone that led to the cancellation of a Dollywood event.
The ‘9 to 5’ singer shared the diagnosis came as a result of not taking “care of myself” following the death of her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, earlier this year.
“I let a lot of things go that I should have been taking care of,” Dolly confirmed. “So anyway, when I got around to it, the doctors said ‘we need to take care of this’ and ‘we need to take care of that’. Nothing major, but I did have to cancel some things.”
