How big is a Redwood tree?

When Taylor Swift dropped her twelfth studio album, ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’, last week there was one song that raised eyebrows: ‘Wood’.

The love song about her fiance Travis Kelce took on a surprisingly explicit tone with more than a few double entendre, namely comparing the NFL player to a Redwood tree.

To save you a google, the Redwood are a “subfamily of coniferous trees” known to be the largest and tallest trees in the world. Make of that, what you will.

Now, Taylor has addressed the spicy song during her appearance on Jimmy Fallon.

Taylor Swift Says ‘Wood’ Lyrics Started Out “Innocent”

While on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Taylor confessed her song ‘Wood’ wasn’t initially going to be a dedication to Kelce’s… manhood.

“I brought this into the studio and I was like I want to do a throwback, timeless-sounding song and I have this idea about ‘I ain’t gotta knock on wood’ and it would be all these superstitions,” she began.

“It really started out in a very innocent place.”

The songstress began laughing as she went on to explain how the creative process unfolded.

“I don’t know what happened, man. I got in there, we started vibing and I don’t know how we got here, but I love the song so much,” she giggled.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Wood’ Lyrics

So what exactly are the lyrics to Taylor’s raunchiest song yet, ‘Wood’?

The track starts off innocently enough, as she first suggested, singing: “seems to be that you and me we make our own luck … it’s you and me forever dancing in the dark.”

Then, the lyrics take a spicy turn.

“Forgive me, it sounds cocky, he ah-matized me and opened my еyes

“Redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see, his love was the key that opened my thighs.”

Then came the second verse, in which Taylor sings: “Girls, I don’t need to catch the bouquet, mm, to know a hard rock is on the way.”

She also refers to her new man’s “manhood” as reaching “new heights”, the name of his famous podcast, as well as being a “magic wand”.

Good for you, Taylor.
