A day after the news that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were separating, the 58-year-old actress has officially filed for divorce.
Their 19-year relationship was considered the picture of devotion, a true Hollywood romance and it’s making fans desperate for any morsel of understanding as to what went wrong.
According to documents obtained by The New York Post, Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce filing.

When news of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s separation broke on Tuesday September 30 (Australian time) the initial reports suggested that the Babygirl actress had “been fighting to save the marriage.”
Now, more sources have shared intimate details on the split, revealing to People that Kidman “feels very betrayed.”
The sentiment was echoed by a second source who added: “Nicole’s hurt and feels betrayed. It’s devastating to her. She’s shocked.”
Given the new comments about Kidman’s feelings of betrayal, more reports surfaced that Urban had already moved on with a new girlfriend.
“Let’s just say, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it,” one source told Page Six.
They also added: “All the signs point to the fact that Keith is with another woman.”
It’s worth noting that the source in question says ‘all signs point to’, suggesting it’s something Kidman may suspect but doesn’t know as fact. Make of that what you will.
More sources came forward to the Daily Mail confirming the ‘rumour’ was running rife through the couple’s hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.
“The rumour is that he’s with a younger woman in the business. It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery”.
Reports also suggest the couple split back in June, however the timing of the alleged new mystery woman remains unclear.
Some fans have questioned Urban over his relationship with band member, Maggie Baugh, after he recently changed the lyrics of a song famously inspired by Nicole. However, there is no confirmation or anything to support this.
