The awards season calendar officially opens tonight with the 2026 Critics Choice Awards at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. Now in its 31st year, the ceremony once again sees Chelsea Handler return as host, marking her fourth turn at the helm.
On the film front, Sinners leads the nominations, followed closely by One Battle After Another, Hamnet, Frankenstein and Marty Supreme, bringing stars like Timothée Chalamet, Jacob Elordi and Leonardo DiCaprio firmly into focus.
The acting categories are equally stacked. Amanda Seyfried and Jessie Buckley face off in Best Actress contention for The Testament of Ann Lee and Bugonia, while Elle Fanning and Ariana Grande compete in the supporting category for Sentimental Value and Wicked: For Good.
