Nicole Kidman has revealed she’s joining Chanel as the new house ambassador. Following the debut of the house’s new creative director, Matthieu Blazy, at Paris Fashion Week, Chanel has been unveiling its roster of celebrity faces–with Nic confirmed in the mix.
This exciting career news for Kidman comes a week after news of her split from husband Keith Urban. The Australian actress filed for divorce from the country music star only last Tuesday.
The first images of Kidman as a Chanel House Ambassador dropped today, with the Australian actress attending the maison’s Spring Summer 2026 show during Paris Fashion Week.
Kidman was joined by her daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, at the runway show at the Grand Palais in Paris on October 6.

This is not Kidman’s first venture with the fashion stalwart, having been the House ambassador for the Chanel No5 fragrance campaign, directed by Baz Luhrmann. Nicole has frequently worn Chanel on the red carpet, including re-wearing her iconic dress from the Chanel No5 campaign to the 2023 Met Gala.
“I am thrilled to be joining Chanel as it begins its new chapter with Matthieu at the helm,” Kidman said in a statement. “As someone who has such an appreciation for Haute Couture, I am so looking forward to witnessing Matthieu’s vision for the oldest Haute Couture House still in operation and having the opportunity to wear what I know will be gorgeous creations.
“Chanel has always been ahead of the curve, shining a smart and gracious light on women, and I am sure Matthieu will be no exception, just like Karl did in his time.”
Meanwhile, Blazy said relished Kidman re-joining the house. “From the unforgettable Baz Luhrmann film to her countless red carpet looks, Nicole has always been part of the history of the House. Free and ever-changing, she is for me the embodiment of the Chanel woman,” he said in a statement. “I know we also share a genuine passion for craft and savoir-faire. Having worked with Nicole in the past and now reuniting with her at Chanel is a dream come true and couldn’t make me happier.”
In the official announcement from Chanel, the label lauded Kidman’s illustrious career as an Academy Award and six-time Golden Globe Award-winner. They also celebrated her work as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, and a champion for women in cinema.
In 2017, Nicole pledged to work with a female director every 18 months to boost women’s behind-the-camera representation in Hollywood. So far, she has delivered, with exceptional roles in talked-about films, like 2024’s Babygirl.
Nicole joins another newly-announced Chanel ambassador for 2025, fellow actress and The Bear star, Ayo Edebiri.
